Mad Professor Silver Spring Reverb

Features:
3 knobs: Time, Tone and Reverb.
Supply 9V, classic, battery or AC Boss style plug.
Consumption being only 80mA, this pedal is not very tasty and can be powered by the majority of bricks in the market.

UTILIZATION

The manual is not necessary, in fact I have not had.

The knob "Time" determines the length of the reverb before its extinction.

The "Tone" far left give a reverb spring type as the old Fender amps, warm and a bit dark.
Turning to the right we get a studio reverb type crystalline and well defined.

Finally, the knob "reverb" determines the amount of reverb injected into the signal altogether.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality is simply excellent, perfect in my opinion.
This is also what motivated the purchase rather expensive this reverb.
A friend happened with this reverb there is about 1 year and I fell under his spell, so much so that I wanted absolutely, all that I was missing a reverb in my pedalboard!
I look pronto price and I became disillusioned: 200 € ..
Buy impossible at this time.
So I flip to a EHX Holy Grail + Used, very good but incomparable with the Silver Spring (at the same time it is not the same price huh!).
Having been able to offer me this month, I could compare the two and unsurprisingly silve spring is a big step up. I also tried a hall of fame o Tc in electronics, also very good, but below the mad professor.
Specifically, I consider this reverb as what is found best on the market.
Its finesse and realism are aberrant and embellish the sound of any amp, high-end or not. This pedal is capable of transforming the clear means-end amp in its "high end", incredible sound.
Crunches and distorted sounds are not there or left as many reverbs make the sound a bit messy, it retains an unparalleled clarity.

OVERALL OPINION

This pedal was a revelation in my case, I find no fault him, a multitude of reverbs being affordable, the spring, room, hall and so on, everything is possible and with only 3 knobs! The race potentiometers is very clear and allows the reverb wish to refine his dreams. Only extreme reverbs will be inaccessible because this pedal produces only natural sounds. The best I tell you!
Try it, you will be amazed. The price is certainly high, but given the importance of the quality of the reverb in the final rendering is amply justified.
If I had the choice again? Sometimes twice a day!
