Published on 06/29/11 at 00:33After much research to change the HP of my Classic 30, I opted for the private jack series Red Coat: It is billed as the equivalent of the Greenback Celestion 50 W but which corresponded better to my amp that in development 30.
I was looking for an HP Blues .... that sounds good and there is a 10 property deserved
In terms of sound: the clean channel has become a very real pleasure Fender but with more body with a Start is the start! Intermediate positions: we want more!
The crunch sounds are fine but a little closer to the Fender VOX after ... large saturation, I have not tried ... but I think it's not for him
anyway it's clear this up in that it is difficult to change the channel!
It is a 10 lecture!
Well, that's all I've had nine Saturday so it will improve with age (yes!) I did try yesterday to my guitar teacher who found it ideal for the Classic 30 ...
I hesitated between this one and the Screaming Eagle but it seemed more aggressive: I had the chance to try on a peavey Celestion G12h30 one that equips the JTM30 Marshall: I'm not too hooked on the sound (too modern)
There is really ideal, I still can not believe I have the sound I wanted! Ideal for Clapton at the Rock 70 ..
In terms of price / quality ratio you can imagine that I put 10: I bought a German site specializing in HP amp and accessories to 79 of 10 € fdp: bought on Tuesday received the Thursday!
With experience: I start kicking in C. .. of not having bought it sooner! I almost sold my Peavey Vox AC 15 for a while was enough to change the HP and 2 lamps!
Eminence thank you!
Here Hope this will help as many people: in short, if you have a Peavey Classic 30, clean sounds that do not go that CYou Blues are likely Laid Back: go for it! For 500 balls (and yes I still do the conversion) you will not recognize your amp!
