I used that vibrato on one of my old guitars, Suhr 10th Anniversary. I did not know Gotoh before owning this guitar. I had previously played on the sub-license Shaller, the system Vigier ball, Floyd Rose Original, and of course the Lo Pro Edge, during my Ibanez when I was young ...

Quite honestly, the Gotoh is by far the best, most enjoyable to play, the more continuous and precise in his movements. The vibrato effect obtained is absolutely perfect. This, in particular, through the shaft assembly, which is installed by screwing into place gradually, housing itself wrapped a piece of flexible plastic. This piece makes a perfect placement of the rod in its housing, avoiding micro game still noticeable in all other manufacturer. Here, we just adjust the stiffness of the sway bar (if you want it floats much, or it stays in place as it is set), simply by screwing a little more or a little less. But there is never any game that degrade the vibrato effect.

I highly recommend it to those looking to replace their vibrato, or in the case of a manufacturing staff instrument, where a floating tremolo desired. If it was my case, I would choose without hesitation the Gotoh.

The floyd is not well known here, but the U.S. team it beautiful guitars OE: the line musicman (badged Musicman elsewhere), and now Suhr (whose boss said that it surpasses the Schaller / OFR ...).
Japan manufacturing, perfect finish, turn the adjusting screws well, machining is clean and precise good stuff.

I use it for my hand on an old Musicman EVH since quite a few years now, so the usage is intensive, the EVH what ... No corrosion, it is like new, while the guitar at least 20 years or more (the serial numbers of the EVH are anarchic, see U.S. sites specialized for this).

Qualities: super tough, no wear of the plate at the point of contact inserts, rod floyd took no game time. The spacing of the inserts is the same as the Schaller (I also possesses the original Floyd (manufactured by Schaller ...) and on other guitounes Schaller).
I replaced the block in the back by the same size XL brass, what I do on all my Floyds, the difference is significant in terms of sustain, resonance, here really brings something (the block itself is not interchangeable with other Floyds, and FYI, the heights of these blocks vary from one guitar to another: be careful when ordering ... in short)

Erection, use, and time: nothing to report, a great vibrato.

Not to be confused with Takeushi like him, who are true m ... HERD low end for almost the same price.
He also seemed to see a few copies still on the bay, be careful and choose the right Gotoh (like cheese, it is written above).

In summary, an excellent Floyd, who is the Germans, nine less than the latter, and can be secondhand to sacred matters: I just find one on the bay to fit a Warmoth for ... € 50 fdpin ... Otherwise, in the 130 € new, it is a good Q / P.

For me, there are three models that road: the true (German is written as platinum) Original Floyd, the Schaller (also German) and Gotoh. Otherwise, I've always been emm .. EDR with holding agreement, the screws go wrong, premature wear etc. ...
