This is the Controller associated with the pedal at Jacques Trinity and transforms it into wah "classic", well not quite ...
For those who do not know, in the small world of guitar effects, each country seems to have its local builder: USA (Dunlop, Morley, Zvex, Fulltone, RMC ,...), in England (Vox, Marshall, Roger Mayer, ...), Japan (Ibanez, Boss ,...), in Core (Moollon ,...), Poland (Glab), Germany, ...
In France, we have ... Jacques!
And Jacques, who is also a store of vintage instruments ct Marseille, is a case in hand.
First the aesthetics, closer than Behringer Zvex. I got a little cheap.
Then the effects approach: Trinity is a wah, auto wah, envelope filter, stuck wah pedals approaching several well-known, but control by 4 inter-Controller dpendants. Brief address not faile ... To become a wah should be associated with the Controller.
Controller in this atypical form of dome is building military. This is not a joke! A tank could play with the wah.
A good quality cable and gold plated jack for connecting the dome of Trinity.
The cable is secured to the dome, and a little short. Damage.
Note, that the Controller does contrle Trinity pedal! (Well I will try with other pedals when same). He makes the most of the pedal A veritable originality. So why sell an accessory 50 euro?? What makes us a total of 150 +50 = 200 euros for all!
Well, the construction seems srieuse, without being luxurious or excpetionnelle.
UTILIZATION
Usage is atypical.
Simply press (firmly) on the dome to activate the filter sweep.
Needless to compare with a classic rocker pedal. The intrt is precisely not to use it as a classic rocker: the effect remains the same, a wah, but the fawn to play is different. Atypical.
The modus operandi is similar flip-flops in Morley: ds as o enlve foot, the wah is found "strong" (high position).
Still, is less specific on the use and practice with a classic rocker. The effect is activated via the pedal and not the dome.
In short, Different. But in no way replace your classic wah-wah.
Note that the dome contrle it the parameter "manual" of the pedal. It is active even in other settings (auto-wah, envelope). This brings a welcome addition to modulate any of these any time.
SOUND QUALITY
The Trinity is a good pedal pedal.
The Controller n'enlve nothing the sound quality of the pedal. It just makes the "play" at the bottom.
OVERALL OPINION
Well let's be clear: atypical, not very many presents up, rather CHRE quality but this wah Trinity and Controller is more for lovers of original effects that those seek wah "classic".
Still a good pedal.
But that's not agaant associate pedal and Controller!
