Housing identical to cry and vox current cast aluminum very solid, important race, power supply and battery.
Posed this pedal a long race to the sensitivity and progessivité copy ...
Contruite hand by an American Geoffrey Teese, signed and numbered.
Fully analog circuit components with high quality and selected.
This pedal is like "plug and play" you got the sound without you to lead.
Full bypass.
UTILIZATION
Virtually all styles, music and all its possible with the RMC1 is like a JCM800, it controls all the fingers and guitar settings ... But the boost can sometimes be a handicap.
The adaptation time is fast.
SOUND QUALITY
Well there you go there ...
So now, I'm a fan of the wah-wah, I have two vintage Vox, Clyde McCoy for a 67 and 70 and a V846 V847 reprint.
It is clear that Geoffrey has done a search titan, because it sounds almost like the old but with a power and an incredible presence and musicality of the grain is incomparable (in slightly behind the record through the Picture). The V847 is completely jettisoned (bcp flatter and less musical than its predecessors).
My having long compared to RMC2 and 3 which are configurable and Picture Wah.
- The RMC2: its more narrow and less musical.
- The RMC3: best RMC2 the grain, but grain is still less than the vintage musical RMC1 and that, even if in large part to a different PC board and components aditional that still distort the grain. On the one little RMC3 raprocher is the sound of old vox but in my opinion it is not yet here, despite the advice of adjustment provided.
- The Picture Wah, which is a copy to the best of the old Clydes, very, very vintage, the one with the best grain in my ears.
The sound of the RMC1 is in fact (I have it from a direct mail Geoffrey) similar to the mix of Edie Kramer (the engineer's favorite Mr. Jimi Hendrix) of the VOX Jimi in the studio recording of Voodoo child. Ie serious property to bold and powerful low acute crillards and his general very hot.
The sound is boosted and some guitar playing with humbucker here can be annoying because you have a nice easy cruncher clear sound.
By using the group is really up for the fact that the sound is slightly boosted, it is really heard in the mix, both in cocottes funky big lead in really bad where it excels.
I also appreciate that a lot is that when you push the volume of the amp, the grain of the pedal is still very hot and does not fall into the acute ears pierced you like on the other wah market.
OVERALL OPINION
I changed my mind because at the time (I had been around 10) I could not compare the length to the Picture which for me is probably the best wah on the market (I will give an opinion). In fact, the RMC1 wah is an excellent vintage with a grain and really singing but a bit more modern than the Picture suits me better but that is certainly not the same price.
In my opinion this pedal is the best summary of past and present.
Congratulations and thank you Mr. Teese!
