I've been using it for years since the first versions came out. The latest model (v2) has still no fan (good!) and it has a heat-sink like design. It gives it a more professional look than previous models and ensures a longer operating life... The published transfer rates are REAL! It's even possible to reach 105 Mb/s with FW800... It's even faster in Serial ATA mode. It's also possible to mount them in a rack with an optional mounting kit.
Very fast and quiet, it's the perfect hard disk for Pro Tools LE. For an HD, the Glyph models might be better.
