    Great Blues Harp!

I love this harmonica! It's my favorite among all of my diatonics (I have the Marine Band Special 20s and the Blues Harp in D.) It's warm and throaty and allows for easy bending. Fantastic!

I play the harmonica for several years, mainly blues, and I tested a lot of models of harmonica, but especially in hohner suzuki or lee harp.
The big advantage of the blues harp is that they are extremely strong harmonicas. I have a more than 6 years, and for some it is a bit maintained, it has not changed. The bends and other game effects have a tendency, on the marine band harmonicas as to the damaging and breaking the most requested strip (4th sucked for me).

Sometimes the 3rd hole blown produce a sound that split second after I started blowing. It may be a problem with my technique, but I have this problem on any other harmonica (except for suzuki, which are yet harmonicas rather upscale).

I've long been a supporter since broke, these extremely durable harmonicas but I rather preferred the navy band so the sound is brighter and rounder notes mouths, more "controllables" decline.

Foreword: I have noticed the characteristics of this instrument very succinctly, but if someone can clarify, it makes fun!

So I use this harmonica for about 4 years. I had acquired for me to play Dylan and Young (my two models at the time) but the fact is that the tone of the major is, ultimately, little used by our two friends.
The harmonica is not an instrument that can easily lend it goes without saying that you can not really try it in the store.
But I had heard great things about the Hohner harmonica which are all hand crafted in Germany allegedly ... I would not check on the spot but given the overall quality of the instrument, I do not care! =)

It is a fairly simple instrument to play the major scale which corresponds, but it becomes much more rewarding when you get out of notes "bluesy". And this one lends itself perfectly!
The noble materials used and manufacturing internal defects leave shine! Wood, gold and intricate carvings on the hood! No plastic models as "souvenirs" found anywhere sold at € 2.

With experience, I would buy the model as one Do I have a plastic comb, giving its very dull.
But I can tell you, amateurs and professionals, you can rush over without any fear!

I bought my first BLUES HARP 20 years ago. They were hard to play real strainers. HOHNER I must say that the efforts made over the last model.
The frame is flat and fully painted 3 layers. Covers slide better. Blades seem better aligned at the factory. I like the SPECIAL 20 MARINE BAND DELUXE and but I prefer BLUES HARP for its ergonomics:
it is bigger, so you have more room for your fingers, and it has a nice sound "roots".
In addition, it is easy to disassemble and reassemble for cleaning or adjustment.
It is less powerful than a SP20 and a bit "harder" to play, say, need a good management of the air column. I do not recommend it for beginners for this reason. Blades are longer th…

Blades are longer than the MB series, so maybe not ideal for overnotes. plates can be changed, they are not expensive. It avoids throwing harmonious and it's worth it because the mattress does not deform. To improve the ergonomics, I go hoods MEISTERKLASSE: super.
In summary: good for blues harmonica.

That at least fifteen years I use harminicas Honer Blues Harp.
I like the roots of the instrument (wood, copper, sound).
I think the price is resonable value.
I'm not a virtuoso harmonica blues harp but has
    gameplay that suits me.
I use it primarily to color as my arrangements of winks westerns ...
No regret, I have proof bought one 6 months ago, another for my daughter
and a third to give a friend, then you think ...

JOperation these harmonicas for ten Dannes now.

Japprcie that most of the MODEL is the sound quality of the wood bed frame and design general; a warm, good balance between bass and treble, a little roots, which really goes well in amplifier enjoyable for me.

What I regret is Lingala in production: some mattresses are not properly adjusted (too prs edge musical plates), the quality of the blades is random image and laccordage (some out of the ring false bote! Ae Ae Ae! A misfortune for beginners). It may well fall on a trs MODEL good as a bad trs.

Mine is in B flat and I bought 4 years ago. I bought what I needed by a harmonica in that key and was not available in Marine Band in the store.

    Some features:
    - Wooden bed frame (pear)
    - Bronze plates and strips
    - Nailed "handmade" (also available in MS screwed version at a time).

It is not my favorite model in the Hohner diatonic scale. I found him the following defects:
    - Hoods without the lugs on the plate outside the areas where nailing a great tendency to twist. It's annoying if you put your harmonica in your pocket.
    - The sound rather thin and flat: a lot less body than any harmonica and sound enough mast.

It presents against the value of having an excellent record when electrified (via a Shure Green Bullet in my case). Hohner also makes one of his arguments. Do not be surprised on the side in use voiceless sound: this is not the goal!

The rest is a Hohner diatonic thus keeping the accuracy in time is not unusual.

To summarize: a harmonica that I have not bought into knowingly and therefore disappoints me. I'm thinking that if the cons buy to use electrified one can be happy (I said "electrified" and not amplified) provided be limited to that use.

I use it for 6 months.
I like the sound of the harmonica that is "retro", it sounds like Bob Dylan and Neil Young during the 60's!
I also use a suzuki bleusmaster home and tried a pro harp and a Hohner Marine Band in too ...
    the price is right
For musicos who want to play a "heart of gold" for example is a great product!

Not being a very experienced harmonica player, I wanted to find out more about which models were good and why. Hohner is a name that consistently popped up, and being a big blues fan, I really wanted to check this one out. I'm glad I did. The main features of this harmonica that separate it from the so-called Marine Brand harps are the ability to really bend the pitches. This is absolutely crucial in Blues playing, on instruments as well as in singing. The vibrato and bends that are possible on this machine are pretty stellar. I've read online in the time since I bought my instrument that the reeds are too thin and are less quality than the Marine Brand. I didn't really agree at the time, a…

I've read online in the time since I bought my instrument that the reeds are too thin and are less quality than the Marine Brand. I didn't really agree at the time, and have since read a detailed report that this is not the case, so don't believe those rumors. I'm not quite that experienced on the harmonica yet, but I've found that I have more flexibility with this than with other Hohner harmonicas. At the same time, it's a little bit difficult to master, as I haven't quite mastered the art form yet. But this harp is definitely more fun to play than most others I've tried. The sound is very quality to me, as far as I can tell. Strong, supple and gritty, it gives a really down-home, country feel to the music I make, even if I'm playing straight blues. It reminded me enough of my Bruce and Neil Young records for me to enjoy it. It certainly resembles their playing more than, say, Dylan or John Popper (possibly due to my own playing style or lack thereof). And I friend of mine let me try it in his mic and amplifier combo (I don't recall the types, sorry). Either way, distorting the harmonica makes it sound pretty amazing for rock bands. We also experimented with heavy reverb and delay and got a very impressive and enormous sound out of it. Electrically or Acoustically, this is a pretty great instrument. I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially considering it's not crazy expensive.

I've had the Hohner Blues Harp harmonica for about a year and it has definitley served me well in trying to learn the harmonica. These harps come in a variety of different keys, but the one I have is in the key of C. Not only is this a good looking harmonica on the outside of it, but it also has a great sound to it and is very easy to play. It feels good to blow into it and get an easy great sound from it and while I've certainly heard some better harmonicas, none of them were in this price range. I've used this harmonica both for recording and for live shows and while I'm pretty new at playing harp, I definitely feel that I've gotten my moneys worth for this harmonica. While this isn't the…

I've used this harmonica both for recording and for live shows and while I'm pretty new at playing harp, I definitely feel that I've gotten my moneys worth for this harmonica. While this isn't the cheapest harmonica out there, (as even Hohner makes full sets of harmonicas for a little more than the cost of this one) it will certainly last you a long time and has a much better tone quality than most cheaper harmonicas out there. If you are new to the harmonica I would probably recommend something a little cheaper to get your feet wet with before getting a nicer one like this, but we're only talking about a small savings as the Hohner Blues Harp isn't that expensive to begin with. As I dive into the world of playing harmonica, the Hohner Blues Harp has give me a relatively cheap option that sounds great and is easy to play. Whether you are just trying to learn or are an established player, the Hohner Blues Harp is a great choice for playing all types of music, but of course is best for blues. All in all I highly recommend the Hohner Blues Harp as a great choice for any harmonica player.
