Published on 05/07/14 at 10:27I have this wonderful amp since 1976, so it has been 38 years! Never fails, of course.
The sound is extraordinary natural and balance. I compared various amps (two good Marantz which one operating in class A, JVC quite some a Sansui - model AT 555A which had its heyday - and NAD). Quad flew over; it is simply out of competition. Listening gives an impression of perfection.
The unit is mounted on a granite slab 2 cm thick. This allows for better readability serious. A comparison "with and without" is instantly uplifting.
No doubt I'll have to check the capacitors to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
