Published on 06/04/13 at 02:48Purchased in 2006 after having used a quad 405 for more than 20 years on DUNDEE Cabasses, this device gives me satisfaction and I'm not ready to get rid of it.
Whether you are looking into an amp? it amplifies the signal source without coloration without cheating, and it is for these amps are exemplary neutrality with a bonus sumptuous medium (amplification current dumping as 405)
Composition of my chain: Marantz CD 5004, preamp Quad Elite (recent purchase) Quad 909 amp and Spendor S8E pregnant.
No matter if it is made in China (it's not the only one!)
if the specification is fully respected no problem, the quality is above suspicion, already seven years it works perfectly without any fault as 405 elsewhere where it's obvious I had change the chemical condos.
Given the noise performance of Quad devices I remain extremely committed to this brand and thank you to the Quad engineers continue to manufacture such equipment with the philosophy of the line of Peter Walker (founder of quad)
For me exceptional value prices.
