« Epiphone '95 Sheraton II »
Published on 09/01/03 at 15:00I was in the market for an American Strat when I was introduced to the Sheraton II.
I picked it up, played it, and was hooked.
For $500, it was a steal!
Although I prefer lighter guitars, the heavy
wieght of this guitar makes a good impression.
The maple top adds a brightness that you won't find with a Gibson 335.
Other than that, it is a 335.
It's versatile, well made,
and a terrific value.
For blues, the guitar has too much natural treble.
For rock however, the sound of the maple body punches through the mix.
Overall construction; A+.
It's a Gibson.
Everyone that I've talked to about this guitar gives it high marks.
I have to say, after playing a lot of semi hollow body guitars in music stores,
this guitar blows the competition away.
