Published on 07/02/10 at 15:00I'm in my 50's and have seen and played my fair share of some fine axes. I usually play classic rock, blues and a bit of country. I play out a bit but mostly am a hobbyist. My Es-339 ,purchased from GC is, in my case, all around excellent. The neck is so straight I brought the action down to almost nothing with no buzz or fret noise. Fit and finish are top grade, smooth and clean everywhere. The tone is just short of an LP's and a 335's - in a good way. Sustain, tone and depth galore. This guitar is well suited for almost anything. Gibson has answered the pleas of the common player, versatility and tone at a truly affordable price. Free at last, free at last . . .
I bought it at GC after comparing LP's, Strat's and tele's. I paid 1799.00 less 15% special with a year to pay with no interest and it's worth every penny.
