Hello, I buy are 175 in 1995. Made in United States
It was and remains for me my favorite guitar (question mouth)
I kept 3ans.J 've done a year of jazz guitar at the Conservatory of Luxembourg.
At the time I think I did not have the maturity to appreciate the value and capabilities of this instrument, however, to 24.
Since I sold, I miss today.
What I remember is what was a sacred sound, it was heavy and it is true that I put a link near the head cook to be able to put a strap.
Or a question of piercing the body in order to establish a pawn
At the time I paid 14,500 francs in 1995.
When I see the price now .... but good since I knew also that there are other cheaper instruments of very good quality or better.
Finally if we are not professional or that is not playing in a group (CONCERE, recording), it is a shame to put a price like this in a guitar.
The gibson es175 guitar is my dream now.

UTILIZATION

Grip, the acute attack is not bad.
It is a bit heavy.
The balance is not great, but it does not bother me.
The sound is terrible (hot moeleux and powerful at the same time, it restores the attack)

SOUNDS

It is best suited to jazz.
Personally I played the blues, ballads, pop, and rock (that is clear it is a shame to use it for rock or hard (it's too aggressive and it disrupts everything.
Because the bridge is floating is the tenssion ropes of the trapeze that keeps it all.
I had a hand amp Fender performer 1000, but it gave a simple transistor well.

Sure that with such a lamp vieu Twin Reverb is good but better beauucoup obliged Finance
Clear sound with a little reverb and a little saturated's terrible.

OVERALL OPINION

Used 3 years
She is beautiful
I try other models and even two different es175
It is too expensive now
