Gretsch G5125 Electromatic Hollow Body

This guitar is produced in Korea (hence the price), while the vast majority of the Gretsch catalog comes from Japan. It is a three-quarter body Venetian cutaway. The body is maple plywood, the handle as well (but solid) and rosewood fingerboard. It has two pickups DeArmond 2000 single coil. It has four controls: a micro volume, microphone volume 2, tone and master volume knob and a three position. UTILIZATION

The handle is very nice, access to acute correct, but no more (it's not a guitar virtuoso, either). It's fun to play a guitar, both sitting and standing, because the body is too bulky aps. It is light enough.

SOUNDS

The sounds are convincing. Hot enough for simple bob. You can do rock, surf the music, blues and even jazz if only one uses the micro severe acute cutting. OVERALL OPINION

I think it's a nice guitar with a lot of character. I tried an Ibanez Artcore Custom, 335 way, the aesthetic is great, but the sound blah, blah. I regret a little buzz and the lack of potato micro as well as the choice of colors (but Gretsch ...). I bought it used just under 400 euros. She was just 6 less.

UTILIZATION

While the output level is a little weak, and takes a micro acute short hair, but it can be lgrement remdier just by adding a little compression on the amp. I also use a TonePort X2 (yeaaah!) On a PC, this is all a bit "cheap" but by taking a little (not bad) on the head config, you come get super sound Honn thy, and the sleepless nights are connected, you lose your taf, your girl and you got to ze bar blues ...

The bridge n'tait rgl not well when I bought the guitar (with strings rotten and no fly box, has said may be the reasonable price of this little bomb). It is not fixed on the body and spent some time finding the correct position. APRS 6 months:
I could compare with Setzer, and it must be that the micro reconnatre TV Jones make a Difference (and the rest also may be ...). I found it equally hard play, but in terms of my level and my practice, and the diffrence in price, the 5125 small enough for me greatly. So I do not change the note.

In short, this guitar sounds great, just to have the report qualitson-dans-ta-gueule/prix is ​​excellent.

I tried a lot of semi-hollow guitars but I knew ds The beginning I wanted a gretsch, for sound and because I have always loved these guitars that seemed unaffordable. We said then that gretsch Coren, is not the top most Electromatic solid body that have reputable trs bad (justified or not .. I have not tried elsewhere. But ultimately, I'm really happy, it's a good guitar trs, rewarding and comfortable, with a sound crdible trs.

But it's the ERMD: I find myself obliged to provide a light amplifier, because without a means less fun.
Fortunately today, we can work more to earn the same.

APRS 2 years, as in love, eventually enthousiasmedes beginners retomber.Entre time, I offered an LP, with (very) good microphones, and even s it is bone of trying to compare with simple twin, the Grestch suffering terribly from the comparison. Although sr sounds in between LP and a gretsch end diffrent do not see anything ... but it is well aware that the "big" lack of "safe" (me neither do I not know what I meant ...)
However, I'm still a fan of the mouth, that is really a beautiful object, and a good guitar trs. His only default is the performance of microphones that, even if they sound good for a guitar trs of this range, do not stick like a slap on a big guitar sound.
Ditto for the handle, Fidler to CHARACTERISTICS of the brand, but less "soft" and easy prcis on a gretsch Japanese.
I highly recommend you give him a pair of TV Jones. There are 2 MODELS ctes to the original DeArmond. The investment is not standard (230 / 240 Dollars all) and change guaranteed. Apparently this opration is fundamental.

I possde the 5124 and not 25 but a SERIES limit that is identical, in fact it is just white.

UTILIZATION

UTILIZATION
