There is no indication of date on my GRETSCH I think it dates back to 90, and I guess it's a Japanese MODEL. The bridge is a "GRETSCH Tailpiece" but I have a vibrato Bibsby original mount it (the must play quietly or else watch the trs dsaccordage ...) The pickups are Filtertrons I love, the guitar volume knob for a more micro gnral a volume knob and it's really great!

UTILIZATION

The handle is great, Access in pretty sharp, I love the ergonomics of the skyscraper. For his is a rve if you like beautiful sounds clear and lime. Ideal for Rockab, Rock and Pop. It's like riding in a pink Cadillac costing the Stray Cats ;-)

SOUNDS

This scraper is perfect for me BUT it must love Gretsch, and not have to idols and other SATRIANI VAI ... I play on a Peavey Delta Blues and I also branch on an old rotten TEISCO transistors on which it was also a great sound. On my old Fender Blues Jr did too. Crystalline I love the sounds and also sounds more jazzy even if it does not quite fit my sense for jazz.

OVERALL OPINION

I have this guitar for a few months and it's one of my prfres. I've tried a VINTAGE 64 worth of eyes of the head and mine fits me perfectly. Some say, moreover, that the news is better finished than the old. What to See and vrifier but I could see that Vintages often a BIG problem with the bidding, which dsagrge the join of the neck and body ...
If I repeat a c'tait Rasht because I really can not do without it !!!!!!
