/ Incredible value, the notice before talking about P90, actually I do not know. It sounds!
Party to buy a 1/4 or cash Aria Epiphone, I returned with Ibanez. The Aria really had a lousy finish and its rotten. The Epiphone Sheraton was not bad but as always with Epiphone's certainly powerful microphones really lacked definition. The Ibanez has best micro well but especially a better handle although piphone whose handle is my opinion is like a log (too thick to play fast, poorly finished frets that hard fingers.

- Bridge trapese covered with wood inlay
- Unfortunately made in China, but if it was made elsewhere, it would be 2000 euros ... so much the worse for my conscience!

USE

The handle is a highway, which is rare in this style skyscrapers but Ibanez has always designed super sleeves!
The box is a little wide, but it gives a real depth to the sound.

This guitar provides the thrill in the register of blues and jazz but one can easily hang beautiful crystalline sounds (that one is unable Epiphone ...)
We can play well Roots Rock ZZ Top kind of early.

SOUNDS

The number of sounds that can "hang with this guitar is amazing! According to the tone control can have a sound Jazz / Bossa super smooth and very sweet or conversely very rock'n'roll sonnorité!
For the blues on the neck pickup is really up, the sound is deep powerful!
The middle position is ideal for crystalline solos kind Quizas.
The strange thing is that it sounds great saturation, the definition of micro allows playing grunge or punk, the cramps, it sounds warmer than saturation strat.

I hesitated between a 95 AF (432 euros resulted in many merchant sites) and Ibanez Af 86 (464 Thomann), the only difference between the two models is that the Af 95 golden finishes slightly bling bling while the Af 86 simply chrome. I finally opted for the AF 86 knowing that the gilding darken with time.
AF 86 is a jewel of violin that has something to blush guitars to 2000 euros. Everything is only perfection is good taste:
- Flamed sycamore body (which sounds much better than maple AF 75-399 euros)
- Fast neck with inlay Abalone (faster than the sleeve of my Les Paul)
- Trapeze tailpiece with wooden cover
- Micro bang with very typed sounds Grech 60 '
- Maple mesh everywhere

The guitar is broadly, a 10 for the beauty of its wood and its sound quality.



USE

The handle is a delight to play jazzy solos, it is fast and very comfortable (we feel the experience of Ibanez) is much higher than a Gibson in comfort.
The guitar is balanced, rather light, access to acute is very good for this kind of guitar.
For audio, you can play anything except metal ...

SOUNDS

My father has a 1/4 Gretch fund 60s, quite honestly, the sound the same Ibanez exactly. It sounds more Gretch Gibson, sound with a little reverb is vraimant amazing! The guitar has a soul, which is very rare in this price range. This is ideal for playing rock 60 '. One can also have a beautiful sound blues and especially the neck pickup, a sound jazz / bossa with a rare fluidity.
For 470 euros, it is a miracle!

I changed my pick to have a more jazz, in fact, the picks in plastoc are not suitable for this guitar, the note is less well maintained and is too punchy attack. I have a wooden pick, do it before you get your guitar to the luthier for the sound

the sound can be hard to get, it depends on your amp, strings and therefore the pick.

SOUNDS

Very good guitar for jazz and funk, to metal that is a chouilla feedback and sound must be difficult to obtain but with pedals everything is possible
I play with a mesa studio preamp and the sound is pasty as I like without too much bass, treble are not aggressive, the clean sound is crystal clear and crystal-clear. I changed my pick to have a more jazz, in fact, the picks in plastoc
I play essantiellement on the neck pickup, tone thoroughly and it makes good, to the microphone I drop a little sharp tone if the sound is too acidic.
the two pickups together gives an average result, we must tweak the volume and tone of both pickups and it's too long for me.

OVERALL OPINION

I use this guitar for about 6 months
I love his jazz, I have no real downside except for its metal
Very good value for money, nothing to envy other dearer

I say stick 3partie mahogany and sized for me, not screwed, rosewood fingerboard.
Chevallet mixed ebony / metal float.
A flawless finish, bindings and key cash nickel inlay permaloid the most beautiful effect (even on the tailpiece), in beautiful natural finish in shades of honey on the flamed maple. Mechanics seems well made: no problem of désacordage.

UTILIZATION

The handle is very nice, short scale, useful for little fingers.

A guitar has to recommend to anyone who wants a hollow body of quality without breaking the bank and able to play a fairly wide range of sounds.
