I recently purchased this guitar from Guitar Center in Colorado Springs for around $650.00. I needed a new, low-cost yet effective guitar for a a couple of local shows. This guitar was a decent fit.

The neck-through design is wonderful, it allwos easy access to the upper frets. The mahogany back and the red flame maple top are gorgeous, its definately one of the best looking guitars that I've ever owned. The semi-hollowbody gives the guitar a very nice warm, clean sound, I recommend a 150-175 watt amp with a two-way burst. The neck is very slim, with not a lot of weight, keeping the entire guitar fairly well balanced. If you get the flame red finish, the gold hardware looks awesome!

Since this guitar is the CSH-1 and not the EA/1, it doesn't include the piezo pickups on the bridge. I don't really need an acoustic sound on an electric giutar, b/c I have my acoustic-electric for that.

Also, since this guitar is a hollowbody, it is a lot thicker than a solid body, and has to have the case that Schecter specially makes for it. The case costs about $60.00, and it took about two months to reach my house.

Wonderful, all-around great guitar for rock and blues, please don't attempt a classical sound, it will just come out as a pippy rock sort of thing.

Best guitar in its price range, a wonderful small-gig guitar, and great for just messing around with.

Musicians Friend $700

ok, here's the deal..... stop being a cheapskate and BUY this guitar. Yea, its all that you've been told (quality, "snarling" electric, ""smooth" acoustic etc etc). But its really more.

What makes this a great guitar is the ability to plug into an acoustic amp (I have a Marshall AS50R) and a regular electric amp (I use a Fender Deluxe) at the same time. The result is astounding. You can (with the guitar knobs) control the amount of "acoustic" sound you get and the amount of "electric" sound you get at the very same time. Its AWSOME.... BETTER than two guitarists. SO full, so rich. When on full (or mostly) acoustic setting its actually a weird feeling to begin with. I said to myself - "WOW, was that ME making that sound?"... the acoustic sound I get from the Schecter through the Marshall amy is much better than what I get from a quality Epiphone 12-string with a good Fishman pickup. Very clean.

Yes, the quality ofthe guitar is there. Mine had a straight neck and (believe it or not) the intonation wasn't all that bad.

Value for $ is off the scale. Sooooo..... stop being a cheapskate and BUY this guitar. You wont regret it.

Not much. I'm more into older retro guitars (gretsch, rick), but this baby is a dandy. You'll have to decide whether you like the body styling. For me, its only ok, but the sound possibilites make up for any personal styling shortfalls. Currently (11/9/03) there is a backorder for the brown sunburst color. I gor fed up waiting and switched to the "black" and I'm glad I did. Its not a jet-black like a fender, but a transparent almost super-dark gray that lets some of the wood grain show through. Very nice.


Excellent. All the other reviews you read are true. Schecter is really on to something here. Grover tuners, fine finish, good binding, great balance.

So stop being a cheapskate and BUY this guitar. You wont regret it. Its worth much more.

Channel rather flat (not a com ibanez) but rather flat and not too thick log.

UTILIZATION

The handle is nickel for me I like the sleeves a little flat (radius more pronounced kun Koike does not bother me) and it was a good flat race too late and that is in the palm of your hand. c koi perfect.
Access in acute is better than good on a fender (ke is a stratum or tele) but a little worse than an ibanez but still very good.
Ergonomics is correct is not dcoupe stomach and muzzle to the forearm but it is not too pete ratings will have.
C plug'n'play of this skyscraper will need is an amp too rotten and rings.

SOUNDS

I play stuff versatile enough a little Blues Rock (Led Zep, Floyd ...), and the metal (instead of trash like Megadeth or Dream Theater, Metallica ...). This scraper is super versatile for me parfatitement, there is no sound crystal clear but the fender type clean sounds are good and distos both a fat and warm without being too runny (it finally st ac drooling over the microphone serious kan mem).
I like the clean sounds that are not too fat and distos remaining hot and not lose too prcicsion. Note: Because of the empty body there are t easy to make this skyscraper Feedback controls ac
The piezo is good it is doing its job and the empty table amliore acoustic sound I think.
It's still a guitar oriented hard rock but still very versatile and can do everything

OVERALL OPINION

I've had three weeks or 1 month.
I love the hot and the piezo for a more funky.
I play on the Crate 60 W lamp tt therefore a good amp this skyscraper has great sound.
The report quality is very good price (paid 880)
There Kelka rat at the finish (the binding) but the finish is nickel binding and do not change the sound ... dc I let his eye glued to the guitar to see the default.
I do it again if we had the choice but I have done can be I would turn to a C1 Classic next time to have a real solid bodie but scratching suits me perfectly.

Mahogany body, table, vintage sunburst finish Saddle ond, including the head.
Two humbuckers Duncan Design HB-102 bridge over a TonePro with 6 piezo sensors.
A three-position switch, one volume knob and one for humbuckers Tone and another couple for the piezos.
A small battery compartment to the rear of electronic piezos.
Channel key al mahogany jumbo 22 frtes, pitch 25.5 ".

The main particularity of this guitar is possder two output jacks, one for humbuckers and one for the shuffled humbuckers / piezos.
Unlike what I read sometimes do not like this guitar Whereas an electro-acoustic as E / A would have you think wrong. It's really a semi-hollow body with two more S type violin for COD, empty it does not sound much more than a solid body but it gives the characters sound.

UTILIZATION

Quality construction and finishing irrprochables.
It is not lgre, one might think for a hollow body, it may be what gives it sustain that more than respectable.
Channel trs enjoyable, relatively flat, it's not a beam but it was just something of the same hands. CHAC is a MODEL to acute gender, why all manufacturers do not they like? It's so comfortable!
Well built guitar, everything seems good quality of TRS. I treat mine like a jewel, but I saw one who had rolled his hump and it was well trs.

SOUNDS

I play mostly blues / rock / pop with amp transistors or tubes.
This is the guitar idalie For those who love to get their sound. All rglages are extremely effective. Rel is a pleasure to find the mix between IDAL big sound of the clarity of the humbuckers and piezo.
The humbuckers "Duncan designed" are certainly sufficient for most uses not extreme, so far without being extraordinary.
The piezos only allow electro-acoustic sounds of great clarity with very low round and crystalline highs, they dlivrent a remarkable output level.
According rglages, you come get sound type single coils and humbuckers by mixing clever piezos, as are its most pure fat humbucker. Both sets provide an excellent background harmonic richness and a level sufficient to make a roaring enjoyable prampli lamp.
In résumé: a large variety of sounds rarely found on a single guitar once.

Changing pickups, note that the guitar pickups DIFFERENT Ragit perfectly that I could put, evidence of a good violin trs. APRS several tests here is my config microphone for several years in race: SP90-PhatCat in bridge: SHPG1-PearlyGates
With this change it 10/10!

OVERALL OPINION

I am not 10 because if not what we would be left for MODELS prestige.
But for the price one can only bow to the quality.

There is nothing I dplaise this guitar and its configuration is a micro particulire rgal to express while having the personality.
The Schecter has real class!

Edit: The years passs, guitar ages well. I sold / bought guitars but I still it.

Guitar made in Korea, 22 frets, two Duncan Designed pickups equivalents SH4 and SH2, 3 position switch type gibson, tun'o'matic bridge and stop bar.
piezo, 2 output, output for humbuckers and one with humbuckers + piezo, on mine is a MODEL of 2005, things have changed since I believe. Mahogany 3-roomed al Samick a fashion (with opposite fiber for more solid body mahogany table Rabl. Trs All neat and quite beautiful. Mine is black.

PS: Mcaniques grover good quality nut and self-lubricating synthetic Contents in no plastic! while keeping the good agreement.

UTILIZATION

The handle is quite enjoyable. CHAC is very easy to acute thanks to the profile of the heel, ergonomics is good without being at the solid body Ibanez RG home with chamfers 20 cms all but one Esth diffrent policy and its diffrent search here. Either we look for a scratch with lots of lgre dcoupe be robust where you can go without fear of splitting into two ... The sound is good enough without amplification, especially a well balanced and sounds strong! Thank you the 1 / 4 Cash ...

SOUNDS

It suits me well, I play hard rock and spent nickel, it is well dbrouille blues rock, rock, hard rock and can even pass jazz phrasing with his plays in convaincant.je amp Randall RG50TC, marriage against nature ... you tell me Well not everything sounds good no feedback trs same high level of distortion with all its fat, in fact I changed my RG50TC for a more rock than the original , finally clean enough sound nice but rather "large". The scratching sound of a gibson Manir overall it say enough fat, powerful, with lots of sustain. I tried it in a lot of amps, Fender Deville, Crate Blue Voodoo and a small 15-watt all-tube. Overall it sounds good and the pickups do their job.

OVERALL OPINION

APRS hsit have several times I finally sell spare APRS three years of loyal service, it is nickel, it has not moved. I love the violin, the head is really nice, in fact even my girlfriend that I will not sell because it is the same only nice dco
I tried many guitars to list say that when I bought this guitar I had a lag compared to the same price, I tried a Duesenberg, the average yamaha range of high end ibanez (one that I possde) Epiphone Les Paul and SG, Fender Telecaster and Stratocaster U.S., PM42 parker, washburn WI65. I would say in his price range is a good guitar trs versatile enough without having a transparent sound, but rather the contrary typ. However it will not fit everyone precisely because the sound is not typical stick-style cigarette paper and it is a guitar rock type and if you play only the m tal it will turn to something else.
