« Not bad, but not amazing. »
Published on 08/14/11 at 00:37I set up a kit "rails" on my strat Mexico, to replace the original pickups all rotten. The combination is: hot rail bridge, vintage rail rail internmédiaire and cool handle.
Cool about the rail, it is obviously much better than the fender mex pickups. I was quite happy with the result, especially from the hot rail bridge (very powerful but that compresses the sound too much and kills the nuances) or vintage rail (Level ridiculous and lack of grain for something supposed to have a sound vintage).
So, I think the cool rail is the model best suited to the stratum. He has the power to the saturated sound (without any crush as hot) but it is also able to make some of the nuances of the game (but less than a single microphone).
A good compromise power-quality sound. But suddenly, it can play a little while but it's very good at anything. Therefore suitable for a guitarist who will play in different styles but if you play in a specific style, it is better to find the microphone that's fine.
