I got this pickup a few years ago, installed first on a rw strat then a maple strat 70s, and it sounds really good. Very balanced, puncher, micro acute Excellence (in middle on Ibanez Ergodyne was pabopabo) mastered with treble and bass stiff.
No noise of course, and no option for wiring. Warning: since there is a conductor with shield you might encounter a problem of phase with some microphones and if they have no option either bin everything falls into the water ...

It is better with the rosewood necks than maple, too strat souniding in that case.
I have the cruiser, got the chopper, a hotrail, well the shadow is better for me (hotter, yet punchy and precise).
On a strat it's day and night compared to the old pickup. As its level is not extremely high it never sounds muddy, unclear, as is so often the case with hot output pickups.
In short, why bother with all 56modèles costing twice as much, anyway no double blade will not compete with Kinman (Start sound issue) or with a double normal size.
In fact I find this shadow stack in the middle: neither simple nor double, with more clarity than double but more than just a punch, without noise.
Simple is good!
