Another microphone that blew me away. The small Bartolini PBF-51 has been mounted by a friend on his Les Paul, allowing him to get more from the quality of the instrument. Currently, I use a Warrior Soldier and have provided me for another ride on a Les Paul signature I want to make the next few years.

In sound:

The 51 is more blues-oriented than the 77d. Dailleurs will be ideally placed in the neck position in conjunction with the above micro. The sound delivered is softer than 77 and can become downright fluffy. With a nice round, without getting too mushy in hot positions. The body of this microphone is amazing and the heat it delivers have nothing to do with some seymour, esp, DiMarzio and others I have tried (attention-it is also excellent in these microphones manufacturers , but the sound here is totally divine).

To say however that it is exclusively oriented vintage would be a lie. He will make sure to give your sound, deep, round and velvety with a character airy and bright, while remaining compatible with modern gains if you push the volume further forward. It remains set even in the highest earnings and has, in saturation, a surprising attack.

In short, hard to find fault except those who follow: that difficult to find, expensive, receiving no sav in Europe. Some will turn to the best-known products, but you miss one of the best microphones in recent years and promises to become a collector in the future.

These microphones are no longer available for sale. Indeed, Bartolini does not deliver more than the well-known artists and brands from all custom shop front. Impossible for her to have a private entry with this brand. Too bad, because it will deprive some of the ultimate guitar tone.
