I wanted to try a pair of activator and I mounted today, it's not bad pickups, although the output level they are clean and precise.
on the other hand I found no interest to them, they were compared with EMG and although I much prefer the EMG, Dimarzio I find these quite cold, rather bland, not very expressive.
Their high output nothing in particular, I have more gain and heat with my and my Tonezone Paf pro.
