«  Very good mic for archtop jazz »

Published on 10/27/10 at 23:40
Ive had the opportunity to test the DC Lollar neck humbucker format on an Eastman 145, any small archtop jazz massive, carved by hand.
The acoustics of this little guitar is not very "loose" because the body is small but the sound is very delicately, complex and well Dfine ... the notes "sing" and keep their harmonic complexity over the entire range .... Massive thanks to the violin ....
Originally the guitar up with a Kent Armstrong HB mase in Asia ... Once electrical branch, this micro "trivializes" the sound of the guitar.
Lollar Charlie Christian with the humbucker format is much better preserved the identity of violin sound, this DEFINITIONS, these harmonics sound great, while keeping his "warm circle" as it likes in jazz .
I know a lot of jazz pickups, gibson 57, 58 Ibanez, P90 etc. ... jai discovery and the microphone really intressant ride on the beautiful string instruments ...
With reverb, or playing on the tonality we get a great sound of a large range of quality.

In short, a wonderful jazz microphone, which amounts in lieu of HB galR therefore without a real alternative Whereas ... I highly recommend!
