«  Excellent microphone! »

Published on 12/07/12 at 09:21
I discovered this microphone when I bought my ESP Horizon NT2 because there is fitted as standard.
Playing only metal I was afraid that is not Sh4 clapped for large distortions because it is rarely presented as a suitable micro metal.
Yet it is just great in this style for its versatility.
I use it for the rhythmic distortions as Deftones, Tool, Gojira (3 groups with guitarists use or have used the sh4) and System of a Down.
It has a large output level, an exceptional grain and warm, giving it the appearance that some describe as "organic." In short an excellent microphone for metal that has nothing to envy to the EMG 81, I have also not appreciated when I compared the SH4.
I bought one to replace my bridge DiMarzio dactivator Iceman because DiMarzio was cold, too loud and lacked precision. I am very happy to have made this change, SH4 gives excellent results on the mahogany body of this guitar.

So more: - versatility
- Accuracy
- Heat and super grain, very "organic" and personal
- High output
- Good retransmission nuances of the violin
Not less.
The price / quality ratio is very good, and I would do this choice without worry.
