Last product to be introduced at the Modal Electronics booth at Musikmesse 2015 is the rack version of the 002 hybrid synth.

The 002R is a 19” 3U rack synth available in 8 or 12-voice versions, with the ability to upgrade the 8-voice edition to 12 voices.

The features are the same is as the original synth, but it does not include any keyboard. You’ll find the 2 oscillators per voice and the two switchable sub-oscillators, the Modal 24dB filter, the LFOs, sequencer, arpeggiator, Modal Electronics Animator, VCA and VCF envelope generators, two audio inputs, MIDI in/out/thru, Ethernet port and 12 preset banks are available.

The 8-voice 002R has a price of 2,395 € / $2595, the 12-voice version is available for $2,595 € / $2,995 and the 8 to 12-voice upgrade will be possible at a later date for 449 € / $495. More info at www.modalelectronics.com.
