Native Instruments made two major announcements yesterday during a special event organized in Frankfurt.
First, the Komplete Kontrol software will evolve with the new Komplete Select suite of instruments and effects from the Komplete 10 bundle, with The Gentleman piano, the Massive and Monark synths, DrumLab, Prism, Scarbee Mark I, Solid Bus Comp, Vintage Organs, Retro Machines and West Africa. Everyone who registered their Komplete Kontrol-S keyboard will receive this pack for free in May. An special upgrade price will then be available for those who want to purchase Komplete 10/Ultimate.
The Komplete Kontrol software will also be updated to v1.1, also expected next month, and will add the ability to freely route and record to the DAW MIDI sequences created from the Komplete Kontrol Smart Play functionality. A new Touch Kontrol feature will also improve the software control directly from the keyboard.
The second big news is the deep integration of third-party plug-ins thanks to the new NKS Native Kontrol Standard format.
Last, Native Instruments announced that the Komplete Kontrol-S keyboard series will be expanded this year, but we’ll tell you more about this later on.
