« Ibanez Blazer »

I got this guitar from a friend of mine who owns a pawn shop. Someone had sanded it down to the bare wood and varnished it with a brush. After playing it for a few minutes, I realized it was a diamond in the rough. After paying $50 (including a great original case) I took it home and took it apart and painted it a beautiful teal laquer. Until recently it was the best guitar I ever had, And I have had some big name brands.

It is a very versatile guitar. It has two open humbuckers and a coil tap. It can sound like almost anything you want. It also has the wonderful maple neck I ever wrapped my fingers around. Slightly rounded with great medium frets. A real work of art.

Nothing to report here!

Solid Strat style body (without the shaved upper corner). Very smooth tuners (always stayed in tune). Bolt on maple neck. Very sturdy construction.

If Ibanez would bring back this guitar, I would by 2 of them. One to play until I was too old to play anymore, and one that I would display as a work of art. There aren't many guitars that are this much fun to play for very long anymore. I didn't let it go because I wanted to. But if you are interested, I have a new love.
