This is a first view, I have the card for 2 days!

Unlike the plug tecnique and news (I did, the card possde
converters 192 KHz. It has very intrt, but it says!

I bought it because it complte silent rev: noon numrique, analog headphone output. But also because I trust RME for the quality and the updating of drivers (which are many: GSIF, even, ASIO2, linux, mac etc ...). In addition to the external conexion, there are internal connections to daughterboards and numriques devices, which can make the map vritable the center of the studio (with the options, no microphones to record 10 basis points at the same time eg a battery).

my config: Pentium 3 1GHz, 384 MB ram, abit VH6 cm-2 with VIA chipset (!), DD IBM GXP 75, win XP.

note:
it has no drivers for Win 98
it possde 2 bios, so a rat does not prevent the flash card to work!
I bought the option in / out symtrique. It rated 45 euros (!), But is INTERESTED:
cool edit brings me a noise level of-96dB and -71 with optional cable with the standard.
which proves that disturbs many PC audio and should therefore invest in this option, as symtrique, cancels the noise. To buy it!

UTILIZATION

Install in 2 minutes flat
no incompatibility for now
the config is easy in the sense that it was the sound right away.
APRS, there must be some options for connatre advances, all fawn,
only serve that those who know
TotalMix software comes with and can do everything: for example
to a between the output of their choice, even see several. Trs flexible!

single bp at home: the TotalMix mute buttons do not work all the time ...
but it may be my fault, the software as quite complicated.

on the other hand, there is a measurement software at RME: DIGICheck. You can see prcisment particular phase, levels, etc ... hardware and while I think.

the manual is not a (one page), but everything is on the CD. Rigolotte thing: the CD is burned!
a can be scary, but apparently RME puts its money into its products more than in the packaging.

GETTING STARTED

For now everything works perfectly with cubase sx and CoolEdit Pro 2.
with my small computer and a single session trs, latency
minimum (1.5ms) produces no clicks!
I test (for now) only with a Stereo track and read a VSTi in real time.

TotalMix of the knobs are "soft": no cracking when they are falling or rising. like a real table!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 days
I Think I Love ... sound and simplicity (everything works for now.) MIDI is handy too.
regarding the sound, I cost a CD by the sound card and the same CD on a CD player Luxman (old but not bad I think) things that are not intended to stand with the EMR. DEFINITIONS more so. Trs good point!
I did do the same blind test that I know nothing mre and it prfr RME!

I had the 96 / 8 Pad RME before, so I do not hsit to buy the 9632!

Apart from some small rglages bring the card is excellent quality price ratio can not be anything to him repprocher except the install cd is serious but hey all is that it works and works pretty well.

I use it for a few days, I repost a few months
I love the precision of converters
I get out of bad experiences with a sound blaster platinum (stable but sound quality bof)
and a Terratec DMX 6 fire (red card and Terratec support, not an answer to my three emails, plus follow-up of drivers for a year and in my case spdif digital input has never worked or ASIO drivers delivered, only asio4all worked .... I'd still get paid 279 euros ...)

I bought 490 euros in home studio
nothing to say this is slightly more expensive than the best multimedia cards, but we feel right now that is in the same category. No unnecessary gadgets, no bundle of soft light version but a quality design and drivers really successful, I now understand why this card has received an award at the Musikmesse 2004

I referrer this choice without hesitation and I want to thank all those helped me on the following forums Audiofanzine.

Drivers hyper stable, 3ms latency in recording or playback
reading of 20 + track recording with a virtual full of instrumentals and effects without any problems.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a week.
what I like most is the dynamics and precision converters, both in recording in reading (I replayed all my favorite CDs by rediscovering directly on the headphones sennheiser hd580 with my accuracy, I hear things I had ever heard!)
before I had an Audigy 2 Platinum; as a garbage compared to a roller rolls!
I've worked with friends with echo layla, without exaggeration, it is below the quality of the converters, the stability of pilot frankly I do not even talk about the edirol School of Music where I work or Hoontech dsp 2000 of a friend is just as incomparable.Conclusion the best cards ever!
what I like least is not translated the manual (but it makes me revise my English)
value for money is amazing for me! (499 euros with an option symmetrical and shipping included in Thoman) double my old soundblaster toy (just good for games !...)

APRS is more than a month qute of any kind that I have chosen this card, there is a 3 months.
The key for me to have a silent sound card drivers in terms of both performance as real time. The multitrack as secondary in my daily use.

UTILIZATION

Installation is no problem if you read English. The manual is quite poor but is clear on this point. No software bundle, but it's ultimately not what we search such a card.
The drivers are set days at least once per quarter. Some utilities come with the card including a mixer, simple and effective, with the map at a "zero latency" between the management of output.

Two utilities measures on e / s.

Well, that's the stuff German: Not pretty but super reliable.

GETTING STARTED

The drivers are trs trs stable, trs trs latencies low (even zero in the pure audio).
I use it mostly with Yellow Tools Culture (Software has welcomed the passage) to make my compositions. Nothing to say no more about the misuse of virtual instruments. For example 3 ms latency on a project using two instances of yellows tools, and virtual synths 3 trs greedy, the block RAM and CPU 50% ...
I also had the opportunity to record with the card using the two entries. The converters are not bad, at least out of all comparison with that found in the competition in the same price. APRS is not a Digi 002, but I think we can make excelente dj sound recording, if they have the rest.

OVERALL OPINION

In rsum I love this card, reliable, simple, effective, drivers followed regularly, it prciser yammer of drivers ALSA (Linux).
Ngatifs points: ugly interface, manual a bit sketchy and not clear on the trs Utisa the mixer ... but hey, the rest ct (price, quality ...), the scales tip and we must!

This card is multi-use if one does not need more than two track analog input and output

2 years of use
In the beginners I found that I pay a pretty expensive card among competitors seems cheaper (even CHARACTERISTICS), but after 2 years is not true! In 2 years RME has update drivers several times, make up two days of the BIOS (updated without worries). TOTAL MIX software (mixer of the card) has made surprising progress:
- It became compatible MACKIE CONTROL
- We can make dsormais loopbacks (out of a record in a soft squenceur) thanks the card without using ReWire
- They were all lies GIGA 3 World Records (GSIF2)
You really have to emphasize: we achte RME card one day but throughout the time s'amliorent CHARACTERISTICS!
The only BMOL: the sound can be just as good as or on MOTU DIGIDESIGN, but the compatibility of these cards seems infrieure

used for a week, coming from a Hoontech adda 2000, you can feel the difference, I like the ability to add extensions to 4 inputs and 4 outputs

Is stable.
I have Cubase SX2.
A prehistoric Athlon 1.2 GHz computer but not for long.
I record 2 tracks simultaneously. I use the 2 analog inputs.
I can read more than 20 simultaneous tracks.
Latency, it's been a while since I've recorded so I can not remember the figure but low enough to have never had any pb on that side.

Installing without pb. English manual
Was no inconsistency.
Sometimes Cubase startup bug on the sampling frequency but just a click away everything returns to normal.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since 2006.
The +: excellent converters! What sound. I got a replay of my disco. Fabulous.
The -: If I may be wiring trouveun not very practical. It's a PCI card, there is no case (but not the end of the world either)

With the experience I would do this choice a thousand times yes!
But now I'm going on my Mac Book Pro so RME will soon be unusable for me for SALE. Snifff! Especially because I see not much equivalent to the price soundcard FW

I can't say that I've been much more pleased with any piece of gear I have ever bought. It does exactly what they say it will. It sounds great, and is incredibly stable. In fact, this audio card alone is a major reason why I am going to stay with the PC platform for a while longer.

I've used it with it's pcmica host card at gigs. I use it at home in the studio. It made of metal. I fly with it all the time. Customer service is awesome even though they are all the way over in Germany. I tend to get a response via email in less than 6 hours. Oh, and their techs know what is up.

OVERALL OPINION

I like it so much I'm probably going to get an digiface to turn my laptop into a reaktor beast. I trust the reliability of this card as much as the audio outs on my hardware synths. It's just solid.
