«  A blues machine! »

Published on 02/16/12 at 16:29
Made in Quebec La Patrie. Solid cedar top, wild cherry back and sides, flamed maple neck, 14 frets before the body, rosewood fingerboard, tune to 631 mm. No electronics. The shape is reminiscent of both a 000 and a classical guitar with a thicker body. Its very simple line and satin finish "antique burst" are a joy to behold.

UTILIZATION

Very well finished. The neck is relatively wide for folk but comfortable.
The body is smaller than a dreadnought but its thickness gives volume and sound projection.

SOUNDS

This guitar has character. Its a rather rich medium, which gives a lot of presence. The spectrum is present but without the side of caricature Dreadnought (warning this will not suit everyone). Proof of quality: the different types of ropes well developed. My choice fell on strings rather brilliant to balance the slightly dull the cedar.
Enough to intimate fingerstyle, we discover the richness acoustic with a pick in his "falling in", you have to get the sound. It is a true blues machine!

OVERALL OPINION

This is not the easiest guitar to play, but when we found how to talk to you will be rewarded. Purchased primarily for the look and his side "roots". Kept for several years for all its other qualities.
