Korg Pa600 & Pa600QT

The Pa600 is the newest keyboard in the Korg Pa Series of professional arrangers.

It comes equipped with a collection of sounds and styles, many of which have been distilled from Korg’s Pa3X. Also offered is an option to include custom sound and performance sets (sold separately). For sound selection, the Pa600 features a color TouchView display—a first in its price range. The Pa600QT (featuring Quarter Tone button variations) is also available.

About 950 sounds (including stereo piano and GM2 sounds), plus 64 drum kits are included in the Pa600, while the Pa600QT provides Middle Eastern PCM with matching Persian, Arabic and Turkish sound programs and styles, preloaded as demo versions.

Designed to cover an expanded range of musical genres, the Pa600 provides 360 styles.

Korg’s SongBook feature is a musical database that’s user programmable, containing the settings needed to play a particular song. Search for the title of a song, select it and hit “Play.” The SongBook provides searchable access to styles, MIDI files, or MP3s, and can recall settings such as Song Title, Genre, Artist, Tempo, Volumes, Sounds, Muted Tracks, FX settings, Easy Edit, Single Touch Settings, Master Transpose and more.

Both versions of the Pa600 are equipped with four Stereo Master Effect processors, with 125 effect types such as reverb, delay, chorus, REMS guitar-based effects for guitar tones, and more. Each track features EQ with Low, Mid and High controls.

Both units feature a cabinet that includes an amplification system.

Availability:

The Pa600 will be available in Q4 2012, with pricing to be announced shortly.
