61-key arranger keyboard, 16-track sequencer onboard.
2 MIDI IN, OUT, card connector (SM, CF ...)
2 out Jack, 1 foot switch jack + alim ....
1 ranks by thousands of sounds catgories, a hundred rows by style catgories
Sounds are ditables, the edition is basic but adequate (TVA, TVF low-pass only, Tune), edition of drum kits.
Effects section identical to the product Roland: Reverb + Chorus gnral, x MFX insertion algorithms choose a brand: classic, all parameter.
It has, in addition to the Arrangement (INTRO, MAIN x 4 variations + FILL, ending) of a 16-track sequencer with all the artifices which edition of the brand has more to brag (input quantize, insert , erase, delete etc. ....) and has four rental locations that can be recalled live if the public asks for more! The sequencer allows CRER of songs that can be rpertorier: a file system allows you to find the song, the CRER playlists or even find the song by playing the Premire notes (sisi !!!).

EDIT:
- The edition of the sounds is superficial: the "synthse" is just the one to change little CHARACTERISTICS sounds, TVF, TVA and coarse / fine tuning. Well, was enough, it's not like a DX7 synth Waldorf Micro Wave or ...
- The sound quality is not worth a Motif or Fantom Xx but passes through a mix: I use a lot more sounds in my rack for a ES (fortunately!!).
- For multitimbral channels is sixteen and not 32 as they say in Roland: the only addition is that you can paramtrer the E-50 so that, by launching the sequencer (ie sixteen track) and E-50 sends the notes recorded on 16 tracks of the sequencer, so up to 16 OFF LOCAL tracks and play the parts due to the E-50 parallle, that is say 4 parts (Mbassi, LWR, UP1 and UP2), which can paramtrer of Manir they do not transmit MIDI OUT! Roland advance CHARACTERISTICS "misleading "!!!!!!
For these "deceptions" I get off my rating: 7 of 9 passes it!! Although not a m'empche not deal with ....

UTILIZATION

The configuration is a bit complicated: it Drout havbitu the brand! However, with qques evening classes with a manual on the knees can be ...

The sound is basic edition, not a synthtiseur the Waldorf but enough!
The manual is quite clear.

I wonder passs o are the wave 512MB of memory, I do not understand why Yamaha does better (relativement. ...) with less ROM Aboard!
The sounds are adequate when it can even be making good grooves, good with partoches .... Anyway I have a Rack ES while ....

EDIT:
- Configuration, APRS three good weeks of practice, is not as simple as a: although it allows some flexibility with regard to the possibility that the E-50 provides, in terms of CONTRL MIDI management pieces (PLAYLIST), and the function COVER MAKE UP TOOL that lets you change many things to steal and save the changes to the song or not ....

OVERALL OPINION

One week ....

Is the most weight, sequence, mode guitar is not bad, sounds of sax, guitar, bass and drums kits. One pet store / read the floppy too, in addition to the various card formats (Sm, CF ....). And the price which remains even when trs COMPTITE ...
The least: the feel of the keyboard!! Worthy of small keyboards with MIDI CONTRL Edirol .... You can not cut the HP keyboard, the E-80 yes but what a price!!

EDIT:
E-50 is the same when a good machine.
I am sr touch screen that has a lot to the retail price of E-50: qques buttons more aurra better made the case. On the other hand, I do not see the intrt sounds "electronic" there is now full of more efficient machines within that radius, the number of arduirait bank and can be as a leave the memory for sounds thinner (piano, sax, guitars, drums, violins ...).
The only points ngatifs are his touch and sounds that Roland still lagging behind a bit, I still do not understand passs o are the 512MB of waveforms in ROM!
At the risk of rpter YAMAHA, the Rack ES possde do that 175Mo and offers a pallet of sounds ... It would be more bluffing plutt 32MB sounds a m'tonnerait do not! !
