Published on 08/28/10 at 03:06Keyboard Type: 5 octave synth arranger
It has more than 350 sounds listed in 16 categories plus a category apart, percussion.
It also has accompaniments listed in 8 categories (rock, dance, Variety, acoustic, plus 7 ... accompaniments separately.
It has the style morphing, recording capability and a motion detector infrared effects. (D Beam)
Connectors: Jack, MIDI
UTILIZATION
The general configuration is very simple. All is done with the buttons because the screen is not touch. The manual is very clear and illustrated and explains each menu in detail but I have not had much need for it given the ease of use.
The sounds are already programmed, you can add, so editing is easy.
OVERALL OPINION
I have used it now for 10 years and it is in its original condition. Each button still works fine.
Before buying it, I owned a Roland W-30 which was a workstation with floppy disk drive. You can not compare a workstation and arranger because it's different.
What I like most is the many possibilities of sounds and orchestrations preprogrammed and they are very well done (with of course the possibility of many variations)
I do not like the lack of ternary rhythms or three stages. There are only 3.
Over time, I think I prefer this instrument. This old Roland EM-30 is an excellent arranger. For now I do not think I have to buy another one because it suits my needs
