Audio-Technica displays the AT4047MP Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone, developed in direct response to end users requesting a multi-pattern version of A–T's legendary AT4047/SV.
The AT4047MP is one of the new offerings from A–T’s expanding 40 Series microphones. The AT4047MP, featuring a wide dynamic range and high SPL capability, is a side-address externally polarized (DC bias) multi-pattern condenser microphone with three switchable polar patterns: omnidirectional, cardioid and figure-eight. These settings control the microphone’s sensitivity to sounds coming from different directions. Like the AT4047/SV on which it was based, the AT4047MP’s transformer-coupled output and specially tuned element provide sonic characteristics reminiscent of early F.E.T. studio microphone designs, the company says. The AT4047MP Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone is currently available with a U.S. MSRP of $1,055.00
