The Dell 2408WFP Ultra Sharp is a 24 inch LCD based computer monitor that has a crystal clear picture and a perfect screen size. When I got the Dell 2408WFP I was looking for a monitor that wouldn’t be incredibly expensive but would still provide me with a big enough screen and a good enough picture to use it with Pro Tools sessions. I can’t say enough about how pleased I am with the decision to pick one of these up. I find that especially when running Pro Tools sessions that I like to spread all of my windows out to get easy access to them, and while I can’t always fit everything that I would like on this screen, I definitely can fit enough. The only way to really get everything on screen at the same time in Pro Tools in terms of having the mix and edit screens open at the same time would really be to run a dual monitoring system. The great part about this monitor is that since it is very reasonably priced, users looking to get even more monitor space could have two of these monitors going at once. While I can understand why those running a Mac computer would also want to run a Mac monitor, for me I was just looking for the most bang for my buck when it came to getting a monitor. I have found that the Dell 2408WFP has provided me with a great looking monitor that I can both in recording situations and also use for watching movies as it really has a great picture on it. If you are looking for a big LCD screen to add to your recording studio, whether it be professional or home based, the Dell 2408WFP is a great choice all around.
