Made of 77, special edition of the Lespaul '55
Made in USA ... of course!
Oval logo on the back of the head, "Les Paul 55-77 Made in USA" in gold lettering, the serial number confirms the date of manufacture.
Finish line with the above picture "Tobacco Sunburst"
Mahogany body in one piece, flat table. Mahogany neck, 22 frets, rosewood fingerboard. INLAYS round pearl.
Mechanical Gibson chrome stamped with the "Tulip" Metal.
Tune-O-Matic tailpiece and chrome. 4 smoked black buttons, black plate 5 ply (B / W / N / B / N)
Clear varnish on the back of the neck and body. Cream binding on both sides of the handle.
Two P90 pickups. Mine (bought used) had no more than one coupled with a Seymour Duncan SH4, the evil being done it remained that way until his thirtieth birthday for which I offered two Gibson Burstbucker-Pro The result is great!

UTILIZATION

The handle of the copy in my possession is like "slim type 60", but the profile of the sleeves are almost unique pieces in Gibson, it is shaped like a "C" very flat and very comfortable.
The frets are medium in size and relatively low due to several alterations due to their thirty years of service, the next time it is the maker ...
The key is slightly convex, access to acute asssez is easy, the body being thin (flat table)
Weight 3.8 Kg, honorable without being huge, muscled, and then some and not others ...
The sound of the original P90 side handle was very round, with few acute and became very fat distortion. Too bad his brother next bridge is gone, it was probably better than SH4 who replaced ...
But a guitar is the first violin and it has character, lots of heat and is more than respectable.
It supports quite well the changes in temperature and is given, a sign of a good violin.
Both Pro Burstbucker him go perfectly. I rediscovered the guitar with these pickups! The spectrum is very rich and delicate balance.

SOUNDS

Like all guitars, suitable for one who will discover its riches regardless of style. But it is a very versatile guitar.

OVERALL OPINION

3000 bales paid at the time. I do not know his side and I tape ...
More than twenty years together, not about to part with it!
At ease in all styles, easy to play, robust and timeless ...
I have long hesitated to change the pickups, but I do not regret, his character is highlighted.
