Value For Money :
Excellent
Gibson Les Paul Special Faded Cherry, all mahogany Gibson 490T humbucker and 490R, all Made in America of course.
The finish is quite sensitive to small shocks, it marks quite easily. Not matter to me is a "player's guitar" as the Americans say, not an object of collective '! Let's live the little things.
UTILIZATION
Channel sublime, perfect, do not throw away the yard is full!
Not too heavy for one LP, halfway between a SG and a LP standard.
As usual 'with Les Paul, not very nice to play with sitting, strap at all times.
SOUNDS
Sounds less fat than a Les Paul Standard, but more than SG, midway between the two again. This is quite to my taste. So in my opinion she is doing really well in rhythm, especially with power chords on his crunch / saturation light with the key so that the saw-SG, you know what I mean? Lead is approached by the sound of a standard LP and its accents in the treble violin, but not really succeeding completely, but it's still very nice and high.
I do use studio exclusively (on stage I usually bassist!) In various amps I'm not going to list, but be warned it is rather that Marshall Vox, even if it adapts easily all kinds of amps.
OVERALL OPINION
Handle of a dream, a rather curious look (for LP), but endearing, but also a pure sound ... Les Paul SG morning! It is a genuine Gibson. What else?
An excellent deal that gets better with age, mine is on its nine years, which she turns 10 this year after its serial number.
Series economic forces, she was delivered in soft cover and no pickguard Gibson, I added one and I think she is prettier with! (After it is a matter of taste).
Excellent quality / price ratio and the choice I would do without hesitation!
