This historic MODEL was born in 1954 in Gibson was used by Carl Perkins (Blue Suede Shoes Mr) during his Sun Studio PERIOD (1954-1955) and also the instrument of the great John ftiche Fogerty, Freddy King and so on, remains difficult in dnicher rdition new or secondhand in addition and more importantly, Europe ...

UTILIZATION

The handle is, I would say "soft" all proportions kept for 54 .. Plutt close to that of an R9 ... While remaining within the tradition vintage LP.
The sleeves chucky me Gnant not the least enjoyable trs ... On the contrary, it fits comfortably in the palm and does not stick even playing for hours.
The grip is excellent.

Ergonomics is an LP, sensual and sweet, Access in acute ais is pretty but certainly not as much as a SG. Its weight of 3.7 kg and wheelbarrows IDAL is for me, IDAL and between 3.7 and 4.2 kg for a Les Paul solid body mass as is the tradition of the '50s ... the woods t have much utiliss probably select. Trs a good point!
We get it very easy recess a good sound.

SOUNDS

Its sounds are real warm playing with tonnalits especially not sour in the bridge position, up to Tone punchy and slamming 8 / 10.
The neck pickup when it is round, warm and couillu, also with Jazzy Tone down from 6 fat.
My position remains prfr lintermdiaire as microphones on my LP'55, CHARACTERISTICS of P90 with that little cot "honk" that I love. I love all the sounds of that instrument.
Important point: No worries with a narrow bridge without wraparound mcanique bridge (tune-o-matic or TOM), unlike what is sometimes just read on the net.
It is plugged into a Fender '57 Twin with no effect ... Everything is done with potentiomtres of the instrument. A rgal!

OVERALL OPINION

Used recently, but always DSIR.
I tried a lot of other models Les Paul, and the latter with my '55 still my prfrs. I'm becoming an addict P90:) And the latter amounts to an LP with an easel in strings must wrap, your exact sound is sublime.
Aesthetics without Tune-o-matic in your exact even more sensual xD
The ratio quality price is the height of the Custom Shop! The finishes are the hair, the action is low, the key is the handle homogne and dark, the back is limited "Walnut" (Walnut) + cad while leaving apparatre dark wood grain.
Treatment VOS (Vintage Original Specifications) is Russia with its hardware a bit "oxidized (bridge, screws), varnish skate ... In short, as it should but not much.
And especially by fully met!
