« "The sound of a deluxe friendly price" »
Published on 11/27/10 at 03:17Basically this guitar possde the best microphones in the house Gibson Classic 57's clbres
DETAILEDREPORT a body in a wood coteux: the maple (used gnralement on guitar luthier)
So why a price of only 880 euros?
1) the absence of flycase
2) by a satin paint not very thick.
It will be a Les Paul for guitarists who privilgient sound to look. The others will go with shovels bought Chinese flamms tables and doubtful mahogany.
I had the chance to compare a deluxe Raw Power in 1983 and although the sound is pretty close if not identical. Also the handle of the raw power is much easier (less fat).
Speaking of the handle, it is particularly well finished, comfortable, the frets are well files, the maple key superb although a bit dark on my model.
I enlve a point because of a little light paint (even if it's vintage) but for the price, the guitar really offers a lot of quality.
USE
handle very comfortable and easy to take in hand, the low action can play little prs what we want it to be very technical or just the blues.
The guitar is chambered so quite lightweight compared a deluxe, was left when even a little heavy but bearable with a good strap.
I find it perfect, it's the easiest to play scratch I had except maybe my Ibanez Satriani.
SONORITS
While the sound is the slap! The classic 57 are ten times better than the 490 and 498.
The neck pickup is standard, bold desire, he will easily cruncher a weakling amp. It is massive, thick, ultra short roots and the Gibson.
The position offers a round and warm.
Let's come to the pickup, it is as sharp as a sword, snarling, ractif.
In fact whatever rable best transcribes the nuances of games that mahogany is ideal for a solo or blues.
The sustain is almost infinite (still rable).
Distortion can be made standard rhythmic solos or sharp bends make screaming death! 10/10
NOTICE GLOBAL
The Raw Power is a very large guitar with the best of Gibson pickups range and a well-tempered character. Sound Volcano eruption. Well vintage colors will appeal or not but I think it should be part of the panoply of any guitarist who respects.
A revelation!
