LP-Shaped Guitar from Gibson belonging to the Les Paul series

Guitar factory in the us, body and mahogany set neck, rosewood fingerboard 22 frets.
Rglages 4 buttons (2 volumes, 2 tones) and a microphone selector 3 positions.
2 alnico humbucker pickups 490R and 498T (real killings)
pais round, but comfortable and reassuring (question and usually got)
about the look, I love the shapes Les Paul, but we must admit that the finishes are quite grossires (varnish pais particular) for the price, actually quite lev (you pay a high price for the brand!)

UTILIZATION

Personally, I find this guitar reassuring all levels. the handle is certainly thick and round, but once you get used to it apprcie to have it under control. Access in is not the most acute ais (li is the shape of the guitar) but I do not unduly drang (I use my strat if the mood takes me to do solos). in terms of weight, yes it is heavy, but once again I found a reassuring, especially since the coup, we feel the vibrations when it emits a little push sound. I find it a pleasurable, allows a much better of being one with the instrument. However, it is true that after some time playing with standing, it feels like a tired back, but for me it is not the default one (especially since I often play sitting) since the weight of the instrument also has consquences on his part and what makes great "sound" and Paul! Rglages on, no problem, the four knobs (volume and Tone for each of the microphones) provide a rglage prcis for each configuration, so that I soon found trs sound my convenience. Only small default, the welds of micro slecteur do not seem optimal, since the problem of contact have repeatedly manifests (ditto on the jack between the way). on the other hand, unlike other opinions, I find the quality of mcaniques acceptable for "non-self-locking", the guitar well into the agreement. Anyway, I had no problem with the dsaccordage frquent.

SOUNDS

Here we are essentially sound! that is gargantuan and an incomparable prsence forget all the little default and lack of care for the finishes. the bass is deep, the highs are not nasal short, this skyscraper has a sound and a true prsence personal coronation personality, I like the sound fat and a little bit grimey we have in the ct warm distortion and clean sound. With my amp lights Peavy classic 30, I really found the sound I was looking for, no matter what the configuration of microphones utiliss (I use all the mic positions, with preferences for neck pickup), the 490R and 498T pickups are real killing! I think the scratches can cover absolutely all styles of music (provided it's just a search of the same typ trs deep and rather fat), from jazz to mtal, passing well s r by the blues and rock, two areas of prdilection. A wonder

OVERALL OPINION

I used this guitar since 2000 (I bought used 4000F, it dates from 1996) and I made the c. .... ie to sell it against a PRS that I was not satisfied. So, I plan to buy me one as soon as possible so I miss THIS SOUND (my strat unfortunately does not fill the whole range of sounds). When I tried this guitar, a aa t rvelation, a lightning strike, so it matched what I rvais noise level. I tried several guitars (Washburn N2 in a feeble and rglages its limits, an SG to its more "flat" (less sustain and depth) that got my Les Paul, and a PRS) and, except for the stratum in another register, none filled me as I look forward therefore to buy me one, and even if the relative quality of finishes / price is certainly excessive, it seems to me also as justification given the rich sound of the instrument.
