So I would not stay on describing déjàbien explained in other post (pretending inside P).
If a detail often overlooked in the descriptions (especially the factory), the weight! Here we are at 3.8 kg (weighed on a scale traditional).
Provide a leather strap 6-7 mm.
And that mine was in 2000 (if I believe the serial number on the purchase guaranteed provided).

UTILIZATION

We are here on a guitar touches everything. And it surprises already under.

Its been just a year that I have. And I think not having finished go around.
Overall, what I like is its versatility. No wonder she was a success. Halfway between vintage and modern, it overwhelms me.

OVERALL OPINION

I use this guitar for 13 years, she followed me in a lot of styles but her favorite remains the "sends watts".

The value taken in 1999 was excellent, I can not speak to that of Lag made in France today.

The Lag guitars are a good alternative to Gibson Les Paul or Paul Reed Smith guitars. They generally feature mahogany wood for the body and in the necks along with rose wood fretboard. Many of the wood combinations and overall cosmetics of these guitars really have an influence built right into the Gibson product line. Body shape is somewhat of a mix between a Ernie Ball guitar Gibson SG guitar. You're getting get a very similar tone out of this instrument as you would a Gibson Les Paul guitar or any other Paul Reed Smith guitars. It's a pretty standard tone and there's nothing too spectacular special about this instrument.

SOUNDS

These guitars are produced in France and they have a decent feel and tone to them them. They also have a similar resemblance to a Gibson 335 guitar but it is smaller body it's certainly a solid body. This guitar has a more comfortable back in my opinion and you can reach the frets of the higher portion of the necks much easier than you want a Les Paul guitar. So in essence it has a lots of inspiration coming from Gibson SG guitars. So if you play this guitar was a good high gain amplifier can you get a kick good thick tone that will resemble any other Gibson instrument.


OVERALL OPINION

These guitars are very hard to find and if you're looking for this exact model then you probably would have to buy it online. They don't come very easily nowadays because they have discontinued this model and Lag has been producing other models that facilitates this position. If this is something that you desire then the online is probably the only way to go but if you need something that's got to cover this type of tone than I suggest going with a cheaper pPaul reed Smith guitar or a studio version of the Gibson SG guitars. Ibanez also makes a decent sounding and very comfortable Les Paul style guitar as well. So those are some options other than this instrument

OVERALL OPINION

Purchased its release in 2000, my first electric, I will keep forever!
even if it is not easy for a beginner .....

My Roxanne date of 1997 and was manufactured in France.

This guitar has 22 frets and is equipped with two Seymour Duncan humbuckers sh1 and sh4 (Jeff Beck), and split via the tone button (on my model, as it has evolved, I believe it). Bridge and tailpiece, Les Paul type. 2 volumes, 1 tone, 1 3-position selector.

UTILIZATION

Handle very fine and pleasant, for that kind of guitar (it's still not a Super Start '), access to acute is very easy. The ergonomics are excellent, whether sitting or carried rather low (which is my case). Lighter than a Les Paul, it's still a good piece of wood.

We get easily a good sound. My style is mostly serious split micro switch for crystal clear sound and sharp micro double-bottom, for the distorted sounds paulien.

SOUNDS

Perfect for playing rock Péchu, pop, see the very heavy. Neo metal fans will be delighted too.
Plugged into a marshall or a mesa boogie, it is a treat.
The sound of the scratching carcatéristique pulls to the Les Paul, but with a personality all its own. Hot bite at a time, a lot of power and sustain. Guitar rock! Sounds amazing with mic splitter, fenderiens or telecasteriens, with its slamming amazing.
We can therefore switch crystal clear sound and saturated dense.

Micro acute Rhythmic saturated or solo rock n roll, it has little to envy to the great.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it happily for 10 years. I love the sound of saturated micro acute and ergonomics, the look of the guitar. I have no complaints, except to depend on some conditions in which it is played: amp, sound system ...

Now I can compare it to a real Les Paul (custom shop). Lag is a little trick in less, for sure. The Les Paul dripping harmonic sounds and whatever the conditions (almost). But the lag has nothing to be ashamed of, considering the price. It has more to it a touch of originality, versatility and playability (sharpness and ergonomics of the handle). It is also less straight than a PRS, but has much more sustain, and feels more rock n roll.

An excellent price / quality ratio. With experience, it is a choice to do it again, before going to the Les Paul (by doubling the price).

Note: my guitar is 10 years old. It is said that now sounds less Lag ... It must be quite the same.

To you it a failure?? That of no longer being manufactured. Asian models RS 500 200 .... are not at that level (one of the guitarists in my group of SR 500 - so I know what I mean)

OVERALL OPINION

I have this wonder for a week so you may think that I am not credible. But I arrest you for this wonder, I have always sought. (FYI, I have a guitar HERITAGE H 125 made in Kalamazoo. For connoisseurs it's not nothing). But I assure you that the lag exceeds by far. Thank you to good french luitiers who produced in 1997 before being fired following a transfer of the factory in Asia

Finally, in addition to its qualities, this guitar only cost me 500 euros (against 1300 if you bought it in 2000)

This conclusion, I give a 10/10 and I invite you to rush headlong when you'll have the chance to find

Mine is 98 and date of completion "custom" gray mtalise.
For the rest it is a usual Roxanne.
The 2 pickups and split potentially offer a wide range, the handle is nice and the finish is not bad at all, except at a few knobs that tire.
It draws clear to Gibson Les Paul.

EDIT: Since the passage from the luthier, everything is greased and oiled works wonders.

UTILIZATION

A thin neck easy, the fact that it makes al CASC to acute ais.
The ergonomics are very good, the guitar is dcoupe and pluttlgre.
We obtain easily a cool sound.

SOUNDS

Sound approaching a Les Paul. I say approaching because a remains much more "light". Less fat, less pais, DIFFERENT anything. But very Rock.
Sounds with microphones split ... I read here and that is "typical Fender" ...
It's really to give a vague idea. Both are approaching a little humbucker Gibson, both singles are very, very far away but then, a stratum or a tele.
That said the sound palette is broad.
EDIT: The further since the transition from the luthier, sound is heavily reinforced.
It sends duplicate.
The rest of my splittage feel pretty anecdotal.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a year prs.
I like its look and its dual microphones, mics I like less "simple".
I had a classic telecaster U.S. before, and it is generally in the same range of guitar, probably a bit above.
I now also a Telecaster Custom Shop, and it's another world.
Lag time to time I use the microphone for his double, but the handle is a bit too late for me (the usual round of C "beefy" from the TV).

Quality price ratio?
1200 today. It is also the price of a Fender U.S. (in France) or certain Gibson, and is a quality comparable, may be even with a slight advantage to Lag.
To summarize, it is a versatile guitar sounds but with a quality and usefulness of a very variable.
