For manufacturing, I understand that it is made in korea.

But I'm not going to spread over the specs, it's classic:
form LP (PRS is also in court with Gibson for it ^ ^)
2 humbuckers (PRS)
volume & tone pots
3 position selector
22 frets

No vibrato on my model, but I did not used it on my guitar so previous ...
Sound familiar in short, a little "naked" but it's a part of its charm

By the way: she is very pretty! Of course this is a matter of taste, but unlike what some people think this is important: a nice guitar, it makes you want to play more often, it's as simple as that :)

Small clarification: the 2011 version takes advantage of inlays brand specific with what our wonderful bird dive ... Grrr, I'm just points of nacre

UTILIZATION

Very nice to use as much (or more to the shape of the handle, well rounded and good grip) than my previous guitar, an Ibanez Ergodyne (designed to be ergonomically you'll understand).

Complete history of the ergonomics side, it is light and the right hand falls very naturally on the bridge which is convenient for the quick games or a good rhythm in palm-mute

The shaft is the hair, it holds well in hand, it is fast and easy bends slightly curved and crossed, the varnish "smooth" does not catch on with sweat as other guitars (but I clean after each gig). The settings are very simple (two pots and a switch ... just not any better).

Only spots:
-Mechanics are not up to par (my G string goes out of tune from time to time, whatever the set of strings)
-The factory settings are not tip top (see below)

SOUNDS

I play a bit of everything from rock to ride clean well saturated (like trust, AC / DC, ...) by pouring a few times in the metal. Note that I have a multi effect, where a wide range of style.

And apart from this extreme case where the guitar shows its limits (large distos are a little slobbery, not precise, it is not a true LP on this one) she is doing well everywhere, even very well for its € 700.

On the neck pickup, the sound is warm to perfection, just lock onto a crunch or overdrive fluffy and go for hours and solo improvisation. The grain of micro PRS is typed without lapsing into the strange, the sound is soft but retains its slamming. This is my favorite mic, I'm over half the time :)

For the intermediate position, the two doubles are splitted, so you have 2 singles. Less heat than the handle but still this nice grain a bit more flashy: basically an ideal location for quiet arpeggios and agreements, the most neutral of the three possible.

For the bridge pickup finally, at first I was very disappointed: no force, no attack, a soft sound ... I had read some reviews before my purchase that went in this direction. But the neck pickup was so sumptuous that the seller's return was unthinkable ... In short, I spent a few evenings to pay the fine and especially the bridge pickup, I have put close to the strings to give the same power as the other and aligned with millimeter heads on each string. And then everything changed! At the slightest flick of the pick attack it, it's metal without being garish, a good rock distortion (or hard) over and wham! sckotché!

To summarize, the sound is THE highlight of the Singlecut (in addition to look). But be careful to listen before, the grain typed enough microphones can not please everyone. And if it's for the heavy metal, this guitar is not to look.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a year and a half (enough to get back). I had to play the occas on gibson, certainly better sounding distortion but are much more expensive.

I also tested an Epiphone around 400 €, heavy and clumsy, I regret the PRS! The ratio Q / P is concrete, and the choice I would do without hesitation, especially since I like the stuff that changes a few things seen and reviewed.

Most: sound, look and violin nickel

Cons: factory settings improved, mechanical faiblardes (but that is easily changed for those who are scared)
