The site includes an SR Guitars "Configurator" on which it is possible to change the pickups (type and color), the mechanical, the acastillage, buttons (shapes and colors), wiring (depending on microphone), etc. .
We can really customize "his" guitar to suit his tastes.

Instead of 3 vintage Alnico 2, I opted for a neck pickup Alnico 2, a central micro P90 and modern Alnico 5 bridge pickup, so have a versatile sound.

Each change of course an additional cost.

    UTILIZATION

The handle is very nice, the fingers slide well and the correct thickness. I have no trouble to me, although I'm used to my Stratocaster. Access to acute is easier than what I expected. The spacing between the strings to be my big fingers, and their height relative to the handle is good.

    The strings do not curl.

    Access to buttons no problem.

the finish is impeccable. Not the slightest defect reported in the wood, varnish, binding. It shone with a thousand lights of the box. Because the body is glossy varnish and black, you can easily leave fingerprints. It is therefore evident that the guitar has been meticulously cleaned before being packed for shipment. Hat preparers, this is beautiful work!

In terms of weight, it is 4.5 kg, but as I am tall and quite heavy myself, I do not feel particularly weighing on my shoulders, even playing time. To me, its weight is negligible than my Stratocaster.

    SOUNDS

I was looking for to acquire LesPaul to complement my Stratocaster, Gibson but is downright expensive, and comments on the Gibson price first report many problems finishing unworthy of the reputation of the brand. Epiphone does not unanimous either.

I then spoke Tokai, and lent me a few days a "black beauty" of this brand. I found it quite to my taste, and nickel finishes with beautiful sounds.

Then I came across Custom Guitars SR 77 and finally, the various reviews (articles and videos) said a lot of good with very reasonable prices. Een more, I stumbled upon balances, which saved me 50 euros compared to the normal price, it is always better than nothing.

What finally convinced me was the ability to set his guitar. After changing the pickups basis, I find myself with a guitar with 3 pickups, with sounds ranging from good old blues-kind vintage rock and hard rock of the 70s, to more modern sounds, accurate, thanks to micro Alnico 5 .

With three microphones simultaneously activated, I get a powerful sound that I find really beautiful. I do not have the opportunity to play on a big tube amp, but only on a Vox AC4 TV (4 watt lamps, 10-inch), which gives a sound that I love.
Being in an apartment, I also play a lot of amp simulators, and with good pulses (brand Redwirez), I can get some great sounds on emulations Marshall (looks like the guitar is cut out for this brand) .

Difficult to say more, it should be plugged into a great big 100 watt tube 4x12 cab and see what she was really in the belly, that I do not often get to do.

    OVERALL OPINION

I've had it about 2 weeks and I have to play an average of 2 hours per day.
I had the opportunity to play on some Les Paul Gibson, Epiphone and Tokai recently lent by friends for periods of several minutes to several days, so I'm not a specialist of what "should" be a good Les Paul, but I did not feel like owning a Gibson of the poor. A more rigorous comparison would be necessary, but as it is, this guitar is really excellent.

    More:
    - It sounds great, even without the plug, which is always a good sign,
    - Good sustain,
    - Good grip and comfort during game
    - Base price of 599 euros (549 in the sales period where I bought it). + Options if you want to make changes, of course.

    Less:
    - The wiring of pickups I have chosen to cut completely prevents the volume of a microphone to play on another. Example: To play only the middle pickup, I have to turn the volume of the other 2 microphones on at least one. Otherwise, I have no sound at all. Ditto for the other positions, I can not completely cut the volume of a microphone if I want to have her in the other microphone (neck and bridge position). The reason is that there are 2 humbuckers and a single coil pickup.
    Damage.

I recommend everyone this little known brand (unknown to me 2 weeks before my purchase anyway), and it is not impossible that I look at their range of guitars SG or ES ...
