The first batch of AAX DSP and AAX Native plug-ins are now available as a public beta for version 5 customers.
New features include:
- 64-bit audio path
- Real-time control smoothing
- Operation above 0dB
- DSP chip sharing with McDSP & non-McDSP plug-ins
The HD v5 plug-ins have been configured with the new Avid HDX hardware in mind. According to the company, “HDX owners will see incredible gains in headroom and efficiency while Native users will see improvements with the latest multi-core processors.”
The first batch of AAX DSP & Native plug-ins include:
- Analog Channel
- CompressorBank
- FilterBank
- 6030 Ultimate Compressor
- 4020 Retro EQ
- 4030 Retro Compressor
- 4040 Retro Limiter
If you already have a v5 license of any of the plug-ins listed above, you can join the public beta. You must be on Mac OS X 10.7.3 or later, or Windows 7, and Pro Tools 10.2. You can send all feedback to support@mcdsp.com.
