Published on 04/05/11 at 00:26She is everything one could need. Compared to the description of the product made on this site I want to make a clarification, it is not half-rack format. I would say it is 2 / 3 of rack.
It allows me to connect my different instruments between them (master keyboard, control surface, computer, synth, BAR ,...).
It can be used without computer, that's cool! Able to make small live sessions.
For what computer configuration? Any now, unless you have an ancestor and do not want no part. Is there anyway that you have a USB port or the MIDI.
UTILIZATION
I never do the update because the machine works fine like that. I'd have a look on this as can be there for new features (I do not see what she could do more)
OVERALL OPINION
I went from an m-audio 4x4 midisport this UM-550. I wanted to make music without necessarily that the PC is turned on, my patch to MIDI signal and frankly I do not know if other products are better, but it gives me absolutely no desire to go elsewhere.
Like most people, the only criticism we can make here is that it does so only 5x5, and it is quite expensive secondhand (since it is no longer produced), but the worth! (And then to compensate for the growth of material, I added an A880).
With hindsight, may now would I buy one of UM-880 (good but they are much more expensive and all this for 3 inputs and 3 outputs more, so ...)
If you are looking for a MIDI interfaces easy, clear and reliable, go there with confidence.
