Damage of puppets « The entry level at Monster Cable »
Published on 11/03/13 at 05:21I bought two of these cords 6m attractively priced (less than 60 € for the Monster Cable!) To replace my Planet Waves 3m which were too short for my use.
Nice little detail: Interchangeable color rings are sold with rubber cords and identify them (handy for easy retrieval during storage after a concert).
I was convinced he made the right choice until I've had crackling and sound interruptions due to bad contacts from the input of the amp and a brand new TC Electronic Polytune .
At first I blamed the equipment (wear to the amp and workmanship for Polytune) because given the reputation of the Monster Cable brand, I do not think the problem could come from cords.
And yet ...
I met a confirmed electronics which I removed the pedal and showed me in my eyes because of poor contact:
Sheets (we tried 4 ...) are slightly shorter than those typically found in other brands ...
So I actually advised and recommended me Neutrik brand. I first thought retrieve Monster drivers that are themselves harmless, but given that the plugs are connected to the tamper-resistant molded plugs and I knew a guitarist who had his Yellow Cable burn, I preferred make a happy by selling it to me and cords to measure for € 60, is barely more expensive than the original Monster and I have had over the slightest problem or poor contact on the parasite all of my devices.
I note 5/10 because I want to hypothesize that I fell on a bad run (I bought two strings at the same time I decided that I sell them exchange) but I still very disappointed with the quality / price ratio of this great brand ...
