See reviews prcdent has noted that since the v5 publisher of the number of mix track is unlimited.
The rack always takes 32 tracks but each HD supplmentaire connected to the PC adds 32 tracks in the editor. No difference, ergonomics and remains perfect RESPONSE time of the editor is ngligeable.

Since 2002, what I like about Sydec is that we are not obliged to change everything set up every 2 years because the new version was released. I bought the Studio Pack: A driving three IO896 SS32 (made by Apogee) via a PC with a Mixpander 9 (for pluggins) and card short of SS32 ...

In use, it is a pure delight: the Apogee 3 connected to outputs directly into my table and exits through the racks DB25/Jack beams, and shoo!
We created a mix with the desired effect on each input, it sticks out of the mix on tracks, you press record, and that's it!
This is the first time I use a DAW, and it's up!

I took the time to mix, test plugs offered and paid ...
The plugs are oferta "basic", are decent, I must admit that the way to resolve is "educational".
The gate that is built is very easy to configure.
Pushed to the bottom, especially in the compressor, it does not sound like the analog (of course) ...

The plugs are paid much better:
The last two EQ Soundscape (EQ1 and EQ2 EACM emulating API and NEVE respectively) ring of fire of God, and even more than simple EQ, you can stick them in the manner of old analog EQ, as a "limiter" frequency, if you know to what limit I orient myself there ... Otherwise the "presets" are available and should not be afraid to touch them up a bit. There are settings on the Neve emulation that hit on the cymbals, guitars and vocals, and the API emulation, bass and percussion all that is changed is found ... I must buy these plugs! (A bit expensive though: 200 Euros each)

As mentioned above, I am not a fan of SSL EQ (Very effective almost surgical), but it takes something for everyone ... (300 Euros though)

Drawner the compressor is very good, transparent, not caricature or "plastic". (Same as 300 Euros though)

The compressor "CompressorX" is supposed to emulate compressors "vintage". I confess to being somewhat disappointed by it: not very ergonomic, it sounds without any special setting, of course, the threshold and compression ratios are easily changed, but I think not having spent enough time on it ... Or not enough ergonomic? In any case it sounds "vintage", but not soft enough, perhaps, if we are not careful, the result can sound "muffled" ... (179 Euros)

I have not tried the reverb, for the moment not need: I stay with the hardware, and other effects provided with the Publisher enough for me (delay, ...).

I use it for 8 days now ...

Good must hesitate, try! Really use, I begin to fall in love with this system. I have what it takes in plugs (still a bit expensive these great plugs) and wiring, but really, try before investing in more expensive competitors (for the solution I'm talking about)!
