« Epiphone Eb3 5-String Bass »
Published on 12/01/07 at 15:00I have been playing since 1969. I have used many basses. Have always been a Cream fan so the EB3 was a favorite. I play in a Classic Rock band and this bass is perfect. I am a fan of Jack Bruce,John Entwhistle, & Paul McCartney so I love this bass. I am also getting a 4 string version also, just for a change.
I acquired my bass on Ebay. I buy all my equipment on Ebay. It was new and I got it at an amazing price of $220.oo with a HSC.
It has a 5 position switch for the pickups so u get an amazing tonal variances. What more can I say either get u a 5 string or a 4 string and u will not be dissappointed. I also use a Thunderbird, a Fender Jazz 5-string, and a Cort Curbow with active p/u's. I like a variety of sounds.
The only thing I do not like it is a bit neck heavy but I have gotten use to it due to the fact my Thunderbird is also.
I have not found any problem with construction or quality. Sounds great, holds up great, looks great.
Anyone who wants a Vintage look in a 5 string , this is the way to go.
