Purchased from Brook Mays music, in the Spring of 03.
For a 6-string bass, it is light weight and the neck is not as wide as typical 2 strings. High-powered output, you barely have to turn the volume know for the bass to be loud.
Not too many cons for this unit. I wouldnt have minded a few more choices in wood finishes, but other than that its almost perfect (for me at least
One thing I would recommend would be a battery cover that does not require a screw driver. For any guitar player, its a hassle to do a quick battery switch if you have to first fumble to find your screwdriver.
Very sturdy unit. This is my 4th bass, and by far my favorite. A lot of care was put into the design and contruction of the unit. The placement of the bridges, the weight distribution.
Very good, professional level bass. ALthough anyone at any level would be comfortable with it (from pro down to beginners), it is not at a beginners price. And of course most beginners don't begin with a 6-string. But I love it, and would recommend to all pros and pro-wannabes.
