ReFuse Software Polarizer & Lowender

ReFuse Software has released Polarizer, a new free plug-in for Mac OS X, and announced that work is underway on native versions of Lowender, which means that a Windows version of Lowender is coming.

Polarizer
Polarizer flips signal polarity (misnomered often as “phase”). That’s it. The idea of the Polarizer is to add a polarity switch to any DAW mixer, according to reFuse. If the Polarizer is on, it’s flipping polarity. If it’s in Bypass, it’s not.

Lowender
Lowender is a subharmonic synthesizer, reminiscent of classic analog dual-band bass enhancer circuits. reFuse Software has announced that work is underway on native versions of Lowender – which means that Lowender for Windows should see the light of day at some point and that, for Windows and Mac users alike, Lowender should soon no longer require Pluggo to run.

Pricing & Availability
reFuse Software will be releasing VST and AudioUnit versions of Lowender first, followed by RTAS versions. All existing Lowender users will receive the native versions, with no upgrade fees. There will also be an as-yet-undetermined price increase for the Lowender, for new purchasers. Currently it costs $49.

No release date yet, but it should be this summer.
