Published on 09/30/12 at 01:39I use these patches for nearly 4 years now.
I had yellow cables (low-end), the Vovox (high end), and not surprisingly the Planet Waves is located between the two with an excellent sound quality / strength / price.
The overall sound is balanced, and I've never had to complain of crunches.
However, be careful taken away from the 230V power cable: Cable Planet Waves (like any other) easily transplanted 50Hz and can induce a small buzzing unpleasant.
The connectors are a bit big though especially compared to switchcraft (which is a model of its kind) and the pedals too tight against it may easily scratch their paint because the connections are metallic coating (happened to me), but we console with the ability to put that straight or angled connectors as needed allow many adaptations (he is still a long cable so every time I buy straight connectors to the unit over what I allows more patches).
For guitarists who make and remake their pedalboard is incredible saves time because it is very easy to change the lengths of the patches.
Once we understand how it works (moisten the top coating of the cable so that it slides easily, well then push the cable by turning slightly to help to make the connection and tighten the screw anti- tearing) it is impossible to miss a connection.
It seems that Petrucci uses his to wire rack (I did not check myself), but no matter: I bought 4 kits and I am very satisfied!
I remake this choice with your eyes closed.
