it is well worth a Thorens MK II
there is a weight for adjusting the cell via a calibrated weight on the rear arm. the anti skating knob is integrated, it is not necessary to place small masses for it. there is a button for each of the two speeds, and a selector 33/off/45. there is also a neon to adjust the speed of the turntable via a strobe effect.
construction wood is beautiful, appearance is neat.
the only small recurring problem on this board and you might get if you buy one is that the buttons speed settings 33 1/3 and 45 rpm tend to mess about, where irregular speed. to avoid this, simply remove the cell door and the tray, return the plate, unscrew the 8 screws on the back and move the bomb to clean the contacts in the 2 speed control knobs. it is not necessary to disassemble, they have a hole on top to pass the bomb.
