« Good Q / P (cell included) »
Published on 04/10/13 at 06:20Bought new and used for a few days, it's a TD platinum LPs fully manual 33/45 rev / min belt drive and look nice.
Nothing is missing (for the category "fully manual"): Strobe and fine adjustment of speed, lighting to put the stylus on the disc, manipulation lever arm, antiskating. The arm looks good. It comes with a cell which Audio-Technica is good but I replaced almost immediately by a Grado Gold, much more efficient, but that made me add 125 € to the system.
This is my third platinum after a TD Braun PS-430 and a Thorens TD-115S.
The production is good for the price, assembly and use are easy.
What I like: ease of use, good overall performance and sufficient. Least: A signal / noise ratio of 50 db is not too much, even if it is already higher than the dynamic vinyl.
I would do this NIOHC probably for good Q / P and the relative quality of manufacture.
